She is a very talented nail artist, and I have always come in with inspirational photos that she never fails to replicate. She is very efficient and consistent with what she does and it is always convenient for me.

Maia Martucci I’ve been a client of Thy’s since early 2024 when she was operating in her apartment in Brunswick. I have followed her ever since. I messaged her when I struggled with biting my nails and wanted to make a big change. Thy has revolutionized my nails and I went from short, brittle nails with bad cuticle care to strong, healthy, natural nails. Her skills and knowledge have continuously improved with time and she is passionate about providing her clientele with unrivaled, quality service. Her space in Sunshine is clean, warm and welcoming. Thy has a vast array of stunning colours and it makes it hard to choose each visit what I want to do next. From never being afraid to do something silly (like adding an image of my fur baby on my toe nails?) to doing my nails for my hens and wedding, Thy has become more than just my nail tech, but she’s also become a friend. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Hannah While the owner may be lovely and listens to what her clients want, her staff do not. I didn’t want to be rude and ask for her specifically to do my hair so instead was very descriptive and showed pictures of what I wanted (big bouncy blowout, no curls, will attach photos) and the hairdresser said yes yes before proceeding to curl my hair in little ringlets with the justification that they’ll ’drop down’. I decided to stay quiet and try trust the process as I had already told and SHOWN her what I wanted, and didn’t want to be seen as a difficult client. As she’s doing my hair she’s distracted by her phone/other customers and leaves big kinks in the curls, and does not fix them despite it jutting out in strange areas. As she finishes I’m expecting her to brush it out or do something to make it resemble a blowout and not a judge wig but instead she brings out a mirror and asks if I want hairspray. Visibly upset at this point I ask her if she was going to brush it out or something because I didn’t want curly hair and she goes ‘oh okay I can brush it out no worries’ and just finger combs it, making little difference and insists that they’ll drop to the style I asked for. She then starts straightening random bits of my hair which makes it look even weirder. All of this was already not ideal but I decide not to cry over spilt milk and just pay. the owner was nice and tried to ask if I wanted to fix it but I didn’t have the time. The part that made me really upset and decide to post about this is that the hairdresser was annoyed with ME, and kept trying to tell me ‘you asked for curly’, ‘you wanted curly’ when I did not say either of these things. I left in tears and spent the next 30 minutes trying to fix it to be ready in time for my birthday dinner. I wouldn’t have been mad if she just owned up to it but the fact that she tried to gaslight me after doing the opposite of what I asked for is ridiculous.

Amy D Since discovering this salon, I haven’t returned to my previous ones. Jenny is highly professional, and I am very pleased with the nails she does for me; they are such even and durable. The staff at Jennys salon are very friendly, experienced, and efficient. I really enjoy how Jenny and her staff care for my hair, from oil treatments to blow-drying, whether styling it in curls or straightening it, as well as their meticulous pedicure service. Plus, the atmosphere is always enjoyable, and the conversation here is great. I travel back to my hometown at times and need to get my nails redone, and even the staff there compliment the quality and durability of the polish from Jennys salon :)
