Liz I am visiting Melbourne. I went to Mass in this beautiful Church last Sunday 10 November. It was a beautiful service.
The parishioners including the nuns were very welcoming.
Thank you

Mark Jonathan Never in my life did I imagine writing a review like this for a church—a place that should embody compassion, understanding, and acceptance. Unfortunately, what I thought would be a safe and sacred space turned into a deeply disappointing experience.
My partner and I, both raised Catholic, were excited to seek a blessing from the church as we prepare for our civil marriage. We chose this particular church because of its beauty and significance to us, having attended Mass there in the past. It felt like the right place to mark this meaningful step in our lives.
When I reached out to the church office and spoke with Lauraine, I was hoping for guidance. Instead, I was met with dismissal and judgment. The moment I mentioned our civil marriage, she told me we were unwelcome. She insinuated that my lack of knowledge about Catholic teachings was offensive and even suggested I get baptized again to “properly educate myself” before I could be considered for a blessing.
I was speechless. As I tried to process her words, she abruptly tried to end the conversation, claiming she was too busy. When I mustered the courage to ask for alternative options, she coldly advised me to “do my research online” before calling back.
This experience left me shaken and deeply disheartened. My partner and I were so excited to celebrate our union with a blessing, but instead, I was made to feel unworthy and ashamed. Breaking this news to my partner was devastating, and it’s something I’ll never forget.
I write this not out of anger but out of sorrow. As Catholics, we are taught that the Church is a place of refuge, love, and guidance. This encounter was the opposite. I hope that by sharing my experience, this church will reflect on how it treats those seeking its blessings and strive to embody the values of kindness and inclusion that Christ himself taught.

Carlos Oraison Today my wife and I visited St Ignatius to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary where we were married. We were welcomed by Fr Eka Tanaya, sister Yolanda and other sisters. We received a beautiful kind blessing. This was the highlight and most memorable part of our day. Thank you

Natalie Ferguson We had our wedding at St Ignatius church in Richmond on the 6th March 2021. It was everything that we had dreamed. The church is absolutely beautiful and took the breath away from all of our guests. As we exited the church they rang the bells and it was wonderful.
The only issue is that in order to accomodate demand they have weddings one after the other with only a 90 minute gap, so our suppliers were not able to get into the church into 20 minutes before our ceremony started. But even so everything still ran to time so not a big issue.
Great post-ceremony photo locations.
