I recently found out I have osteopenia after suffering a compression fracture of my spine. This was a slow and lengthy recovery with 6 months in a back brace before even starting to feel normal again. I never want to go through that again, and I set out to figure out what I can do to strengthen my bones. After listening to The Drive podcast with Peter Attia, I heard an interview with Belinda Beck and the Onero Program, and I knew that was exactly what I needed. Luckily, I found an exercise physiologist who provided this program close to where I live and started with Nick Adkins at Ares Strength Rehab in April 2025. I have steadily increased my strength over this time and now deadlifting over 50kg, shoulder pressing 15kg and squating 40kg, weights I would never have dreamed of lifting! I thank Nick for pushing me beyond what I ever thought possible and for being so patient with me and my injuries. If you have osteoporosis or osteopenia, the Onero Program is a must if you want to build strong bones.
