3 /5 Stephanie Smith: Ive been bringing my kids here for six years and in the last year its undergone some serious changes. It used to be quite busy but with all of the senior and junior advanced gymnasts having left to follow coaches who have also left, its much quieter. I didnt realise how many advanced students there were but Id say the room is only 50% full compared to how it used to be.
But on the other hand, my kids come to burn off some energy, get a bit of strength and flexibility and learn to do some flips, not to be potential olympians, so its kind of good for me, smaller classes, better access to all the equipment for the kids, and parking easier. I suppose this gym could be recommended as more of a hobby gym rather than a pipeline to competition gymnastics now, basing it on the hours Ive sat and watched years ago and compared to now. It does seem like a shame though, this place used to be full and busy and energetic.
