Dennis was fantastic, he quickly assessed the issue each time and true to his word, was able to repair and service each particular piece. The last one needed to be returned under warranty as it required further work. After some months Dennis called to say the clock was now fully refurbished and working perfectly. He is a true gentleman and specialist jeweller, who I am more than happy to recommend to anyone needing watch or clock repairs, not to mention jewellery. He also has a fine collection of vintage watched, clock and jewellery for sale.

I was fortunate that Balwyn Jewellers has a large stockpile of parts, which benefited me greatly when it came to my 1970s Caravelle Driver, quite a niche watch. Also, that they had the experience to service a rare watch like this. I wanted to go out of my way to write this because I appreciate the service I was provided, and for context, Im a watch collector. I respect that others here may have had separate experiences based on their expectation of watches, a general assumption that watches are simple items to maintain, but that is simply untrue. Watches can be simple and they can be complex, it depends on the watch, and its a quality watchmaker like Balwyn Jewellers (Dennis) who will be able to properly assess and bring your timepiece back up to speed (or time?). Would definitely recommend.
