5 /5 Leanne Maddock: I have never gone to a gym regularly in my life until I joined Beyond PT a couple years ago. I knew the importance of doing strength work in my early 50s, but I hadn’t expected the many other benefits of finding my tribe at Beyond PT.
Bespoke 1:1 training with James and Bill has not only helped me lose weight and build strength, it’s enabled me to learn about nutrition, stretching and how to manage my injuries. When my strength and confidence grew, I moved to the classes, and this has opened up a wonderful community. Ive especially loved Laurens Wednesday eve mat Pilates classes and the boys strength ones.
Over the last 6 months I increased my membership to include the infrared sauna and leg compression package. When I have time I squeeze in leg compression before a class, but I prioritise hitting the sauna 2-3 times a week. This has given me incredible relief from all over body aches and injury related pain. There are many benefits of infrared sauna, including a mild cardio workout by increasing your heart rate a little, so its perfect to follow a class. It is also brilliant to follow 18 holes of golf!
I am thrilled to be mostly pain free now, which means I rarely take any pain meds. Result!
