2 /5 Ζ L: I entered the clinic. The receptionist stared at me without saying a word as if I was a stranger who had just broken into her home. I had to initiate the Good morning, Im here for an appointment.... Although she was fine afterwards.
The physio I saw was Lara. There was no massage, even though I said I was sore, just a prescription of some stretches. Whilst she was making me demonstrate it she said "Use good posture! Good posture!", without explaining what that actually meant. e.g. chin in, chest out, something like that(?) It sounded more like an admonition, than an explanation, I mean, who consciously chooses a bad posture? Furthermore, there was a previous injury, which I brought up at the beginning, that I was hoping to get checked up on its healing. However, Lara did not do anything to assess this and at the end when I brought up the previous injury again she was kind of offhand in her manner and told me if I wanted to have it checked up that I could do so in the next appointment, without any apology for forgetting about it. Also, throughout the session I just felt I was kind of despised...and Im struggling to figure out why.
I had been to another physio clinic before further down Plenty Road, and I experienced much better customer service from the staff there. I had gone there for my previous injuries and there was always a massage, for immediate relief of the symptoms, combined with prescriptions of exercises for longer term healing. I always do my exercises, but I was looking forward to that physio treatment for immediate relief as well, and I felt kind of short-changed here.
