1 /5 Shikha Basnet: DO BETTER Prosegur Change! My cousin landed in Melbourne yesterday as in International student. Thinking airport would be the safest and best place to exchange her money she approached Prosegur change. And these guys traded her money in an exchange rate which was below the market rate (with difference of almost $500AUD). When we realised what had happened, we went back after few hours to ask for a refund or better rate, they made their policies as an excuse and sent us back with disappointment. Additionally, the manager we spoke to had zero empathy. Being first day in Melbourne as an international student has already been a sore experience for my cousin. For now, we have emailed the head office to seek help and better response, still waiting for their response as anyone could imagine $500 is a huge amount for an international student. I will update here as we hear back from their head office. Hoping for a better outcome✊

Yesterday was my first day in Melbourne Australia and thinking airport be the safe option to exchange my money I exchange 2500$ USD to AUD but they gave me 500$ AUD less and when I asked other exchange companies they said I have been scammed of 500$ which is a huge amount for a international student and a newcomer I went to airport and their branch but they didn’t give me good response and make multiple excuses and said me to send a mail which I did but they haven’t response my mail yet. This is so frustrating and stressful and so disappointing. Be safe everyone So, please make sure you are going to a right place and make a right decision!! My first day in Australia was so stressful And I don’t what any other people to get scammed and suffer like I did !!

1 /5 Robbo: Exchange rate was 1.08 29/5/25 aud to nzd theres something not right with the rate wasnt till later we jerried somthing isnt quite right. There was no disclosure for the fees .. seems odd to loose $100 dollars on an aud to nzd cash Exchange. Will query on return to Melbourne... dealer ref MEL-CHECKM-316087. 957.05 aud - nzd 850 received. Explanation would be appreciated

1 /5 Libby: I recently withdrew money from a Prosegur ATM within Melbourne Airport only to receive $20 notes. The staff member inside the branch stated she was not allowed to change these for larger denominations. This meant I have received a lesser exchange rate when changing this into foreign currency. I am very disappointed with this service and I cannot believe this is how Prosegur treats their customers. I will not be using this service or business again. From a very disappointed and frustrated traveller.
