5 /5 Dalvin Karlsey: I’ve been training with Hugh since July, after he kindly took me on when my previous trainer resigned, and I could not be more grateful. From day one, he has been organised, reliable, and incredibly supportive. He always comes prepared with a structured plan for each session, is consistently on time, and checks in regularly with clear, thoughtful communication. He has also been extremely flexible with my rotating shifts, which I appreciate more than he knows.
As someone who was new to the gym and worried about injuries, Hugh made me feel safe and confident. He took the time to correct my technique, slow things down when needed, and prioritise proper form and injury prevention. Because of this, I’ve been able to build strength, achieve weight-loss goals, and become genuinely confident in my own abilities.
Hugh has also been a consistent and grounding presence in my fitness journey. On weeks when my motivation dips, he somehow manages to encourage and energise me without ever being pushy—his positivity is honestly infectious. He also keeps me accountable in the best way: for example, if I skip a session or have an off week, he doesn’t guilt me; instead he checks in, reminds me of my goals, and helps me reset with a realistic plan.
Overall, Hugh has been an outstanding trainer and an asset to the gym. His professionalism, preparation, and genuine care for my progress make all the difference. He is an asset to Enterprise Fitness!
