5 /5 Jen L.: I’ve been meaning to write this review for a very long time, but better late than never. FYI, Dandenong & Noble Park are operated by the same fabulous people.
In October last year, I signed up to a 28 day trial at the F45 Dandenong studio. I had moved and my old gym was out of the way. Covid and lockdowns were still present and I hadn’t found a new gym yet. I’ve tried F45 in 2016 for a few weeks, which I disliked. But to get back into my training routine, I decided to go out of my comfort zone and challenge myself with a stint at F45. Unlike my previous F45 experience this one left me well and truly impressed and also exceeded my expectations.
The new (since my last encounter) structure was explained to me and I successfully managed to avoid the Wednesday pure cardio sessions.
Tuesdays and Thursdays strength classes were my favourites. All trainers were amazing and certainly knew when to push you or just let you be.
I appreciate the fun and professional sessions, the inclusivity and not to forget the honest and open chat I could have with both owners, Josh & Ham. My personal preference is a conventional gym, not classes, just doing my ‘own thing’ is my kind of jam, but I do like to change it up once in a while. Given the unprecedented times it was just nice to have some ‘normality’.
I’ve been to another F45 studio since, to support friends with their first trial at a class and I have to say the experience was chalk and cheese.
Compared to previous and more recent experiences, this studio does have clean showers, chilled & filtered water and the trainers do look after your well-being.
They do not skip the after class stretching component.
Their theme ‘not a gym but a community’ is spot on. All members were friendly, supportive and non-judgemental. It’s a great environment to kick some goals as well as socialise.
I’m not a class type of person but I have to say if you want to start your fitness journey, get back into some exercise or are just curious and do live/ work in the area, give these guys at their Dandenong or Noble Park studio a go. They do have social outings, take part in e.g. the Spartan race. Some members referred to it as their fit fam.
No matter the fitness level, these guys are capable to cater to your personal needs!
Last but not least, I do appreciate that there was no pressure put on me to sign up to a membership.
Thanks to the owners Josh & Ham as well as the trainers Angelo, Kara, Tahlia & Viet! You guys rock :)
P.S. this review is completely unsolicited - you can tell, theyve obviously left an impression!
