He is often amusing, always encouraging, laser focussed on ensuring correct technique and genuinely excited to celebrate (small) fitness wins. The gym is compact, incredibly well equipped and maintained and a safe place where you can leave any insecurities behind you. Highly recommend!

I have been regularly attending personal training with James for 18 months and through this process have gained strength, confidence in my movement, and a change to body composition/weight loss. What makes him different? He individualises his approach based on the person, their goals, but he also gets to know your strength and skills and is excellent at picking up when to give encouragement for a push, or when to let you concentrate and do your thing. It’s not like other places that ask about goals in the initial assessment and then you just go through the motions of progressive exercises that are rolled out in the same program across all clients. Each person gets their own tailored program each session. James’ flexibility extends beyond the program. Do you need to chit chat between sets? He’s there. Are you someone who prefers to focus on the exercise instead? He gets it. Gossip about bad TV shows? Yep. Are you up for a laugh? He’s your man. The gym has excellent facilities, and it is always spotless. Highly recommended Holistic Fitness and Health!

I have been training with James for quite a while now and when I started I was very nervous about multiple things in the gym and he has given me the confidence to push through and succeed in whatever lift we may be doing. Along with being an awesome trainer he is a great bloke as well and very easy to chat to and have great conversations with to keep my mind occupied when hes putting me through the ringer in our workouts. The sessions are challenging, varied and filled with great banter and laughs to boot! The focus is all about fitness, strength and overall well-being with some really helpful tips around optimal diet to achieve your goals too. I could not recommend James highly enough. His personal gym is an incredible set up too. I’ve gone from being a short term client to quite possibly a lifelong one!
