1 /5 C M: Contacted Ray just before November 2021 enquiring about getting a ring repaired and having a pendent made from scratch for a gift for Christmas. At that time Ray said he could do it so I dropped the items of to his shop that needed to repaired and a picture of the item that need to be made at the beginning of November 2021. I contacted Ray again in early December 2021 as I hadn’t heard from him to be told that he had been unwell and had a back log of work so now all he could do was the repair and not make the new item until till next year and I asked if it would be before next Christmas and said it would be around May 2022. I can’t say I was happy but it was unfortunate that he was ill however it would have been nice to be notify that he couldn’t for fill his commitment. But that had to be OK thing happen I understand that it was out of his control. Once again waiting to hear from Ray I ended up ringing him again (12th September 2022) as it was now 10 months since I dropped of the paperwork for the new item not contact from him and I wanted to know when I would be receiving the item. He told me he was 5 months behind and he had had a heart attack and still couldn’t tell me when I would be receiving my item. And of course, having a heart attack is not good but when you’re running a business you need to communicate with your customers and have a high standard of customers service which appears not to be the case here. When customers are kept in contact with, they tend to be understanding and I believe I have been more than patient. So, if you’re going to engaging this business from my experience you will be waiting not 5 months but at less 10 months or more.
