5 /5 Don Barrow: Moksha Yoga in Bentleigh is an authentically spiritual shala, owned and operated by the amazing Emma Palmer. Emma and her team have created a welcoming space for all aspects of traditional yoga. A wide range of asana classes suitable for all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners led by some of the best instructors in Melbourne. She also offers teacher training courses and several immersions throughout the year, including a Ko Samui retreat. The best thing about Moksha though is the genuine sense of community within the Shala, making new friends and sharing in the warmth of like minded people. I have been coming to Moksha since 2017 and look forward to many more years ahead.

There are always in-studio and online classes, sound baths, immersion series, cacao ceremonies, and many other offerings to explore. I’ve met so many amazing teachers who have inspired me on my journey. The community here is warm, welcoming, and supportive. Founded and led by Emma Palmer, who has exceptional knowledge of yoga and a welcoming heart that you’ll feel the moment you arrive.

5 /5 Mai Van Haven: I’ve just finished the 60 hour Sound Medicine Facilitator Training at Moksha Academy of Yoga. I honestly had no expectations going in, just a strong calling to learn more about this healing modality. And wow… I really came to the right place, at the right time with the right teachers! The training was full of knowledge, wisdom and even the science behind sound healing. Emma, Vasna and Vic were all amazing, experienced, supportive and so beautifully spiritual in their own ways. The classroom felt very welcoming, safe and non-judgmental which helped all of us open up and learn comfortably. It ended up being more than just learning about sound.. I learned so much about myself throughout the course. It was such a special experience. I’m really excited to continue this sound medicine journey and to keep learning with Moksha Academy of Yoga. 5 /5 Jana Losing: I absolutely love this yoga studio! What makes it special is how beautifully it stays true to the traditional roots of yoga. There’s a wonderful balance between strong, energising vinyasa classes, softer and more gentle flows and also beautiful meditation practices. Every teacher is really skilled, caring and authentic — you can really feel their experience and love for what they do. Each class left me feeling grounded and deeply nourished. A beautiful space for those seeking an authentic and heartfelt yoga practice.
