5 /5 briggsy010: Matt cares about his clients.
I am a competitive club track runner in my mid-30s. I was a pretty good runner when I was younger. After a long stint in retirement, I decided to give competitive running another go when I moved into the Essendon area. I live close to the Athletics Essendon track/ club.
Unlike when I was younger, I kept getting overuse injuries particularly with my legs which was very frustrating. Being part of the club, Matt noticed and reached out to offer help.
I went into his clinic on Keilor Rd and was immediacy impressed. His clinic has everything you need and more. Matt is very professional.
During our first session, Matt identified my weaknesses and started me on my recovery plan. Although the recovery plan was slower than I would have liked, it was necessary. We started with a big emphasis on strength and conditioning, which I now know is very important (especially for older athletes).
After a couple of months, I was back on a regular running program with no pain. I still do one-to-two 30 min (approx.) strength and conditioning sessions a week but it is a small price to pay to be able to run consistently without pain.
Matt will always be my coach, whether or not he is coaching me directly or giving me advice.
I highly recommend Matts services to any runner that wants to be consistent runner and remain injury free, no matter their level.
