5 /5 Heidi Aukerman: We have done our taxes with Geoff for more than 10 years and have never felt more looked after. Geoff really knows his stuff and has been personal and professional in relation to seeing him year after year for our taxes. Highly recommend as the customer service and knowledge is very helpful, as well as trust and rapport that has happened over the years.

1 /5 Charly England: Would give zero stars if I could, failed to provide due skill and care, they had over a year to do, admittedly, a difficult series of backdated returns, they agreed to the deadline which was over a year away, noting that would be fine. We made it clear that in the meantime we had lost a subsidy which was causing significant financial stress and any additional rush on our work would be appreciated. No updates provided unless we followed up, every time we reached out we were treated as pests and palmed off with variations of “it’s complicated”. No transparency no accountability. The deadline came and went without an acknowledgment from them, let alone an apology. We were given an additional roughly $6000.00 financial penalty due to the failure to meet the deadline. We tried to inform them, only to be told a different accountant would be handling our file now, who is on maternity leave currently. Upon questioning the reasonableness of this decision and implying that we should find someone else to do the work, Annette the owner jumped on this opportunity and encouraged us to go elsewhere. They were clearly incapable of doing the work from the outset but not professional enough to inform us. While they provided a refund, they have cost us thousands due to the delay. They pour salt in the wound by claiming we failed to provide information in a usable format, though they failed to mention this whenever we called for an update. Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere.

1 /5 Rohan Patrick: I saw Geoff on the basis of a fb recommendation. As a single parent on a single parent pension, Id been advised that I needed to submit a return for last year. Id deferred this as long as possible, knowing that I owed money, but with the deadline approaching, I contacted Geoff, explaining my situation. He said he could help. Upon meeting Geoff, he advised that he had done some preliminary checking, found that there were a number of historical gaps and offered to check the details on this for me. He did not say, that this check would be something for which payment would be expected. In the space of the next 20 minutes or so, he tallied up what was due/owing, advising that he could submit what was required immediately. I explained to him again that I only needed the one return to be completed, and in any event couldnt afford the additional cost. I did think it a little rich that he was going to charge me in multiples of $160- for each additional return submitted, when it had taken him 20 minutes in total to check the details. I told him that I might follow up with him about the additional returns at another time, and asked him to submit the single return I required, and was the specific reason Id come to see him. He did this, presenting me with an invoice, which I promptly paid. Since then, Geoff has sent multiple invoices to me for the additional tax returns I had not requested, had not been submitted, and which I had specifically asked him not to submit. I eventually called him and asked him to stop sending these invoices, explaining that I had come to see him for his help with the single tax return etc. I explained yet again, that I was a single parent, had not asked him to process or submit the additional returns, did not need him to do this, and wasnt prepared and could not afford to pay. He became argumentative, raised his voice, talked over me, and told me not to call him a liar. Exasperated but remaining even toned, I stated that he was actually calling me a liar, at which point he simply hung up on me. Without doubt, sure tax and Geoff are the worst experience Ive ever had with anyone within the taxation industry, or in fact, any service industry. In my opinion this was just an absolutely disgusting effort simply to grift money. One might go so far as to describe his manner and method as dishonest, deceptive and even fraudulent, in my opinion. I only wish there was an option for zero stars.

My children who have all now started working also have Geoff take care of their income tax returns . I’ve also recommended Geoff to a number of friends and colleagues and those that have made the switch are glad they did . Like a good mechanic, when you find a good tax accountant you hang on to them
