Darebin Creek Forest Park

666Spook I walk here frequently with my hell hound. Plenty of deadly snakes in summer. I saw a young man fighting a big gumtree, he was slashing its trunk with a box cutter.

Temple of The Winds

Adam G The heritage listed "Temple of the Winds" rotunda in the Fitzroy Gardens is located north west of the Vistors Information Centre. Constructed in 1873, its one of the oldest structures in the Fitzroy Gardens and is another example of the sculptural elements popular in 19th century gardens. Its very similar but smaller than the Temple of the Winds in the Royal Botanic Gardens. The rotunda is a circular masonry structure with 10 columns resting on rough, dressed and exposed bluestone footings. The columns support a domed roof. The "Temple of the Winds" rotunda is popular for small celebrations and weddings.

Hyde Park

Chris Sciberras Great playground. No toilets here though, so if your four year old comes running toward you demanding to poo, think fast. Again, great playground.

Quarries Park

Paul Richards A nice park with a brilliantly designed playground for kids, including a big slide and lots of sand. Beware of dogs though - some people let their dogs loose inside the playground, despite the signs. Its very well connected to the Merri Creek Trail. The car park usually has lots of space, at least on weekdays, and its also easily walkable from Clifton Hill station.
