5 /5 misatokitty76: My mother, completely horse mad still at 83, and I visited mid-November, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We took the grand tour, where we had a private buggy and tour guide who works with the horses - Nicola was wonderful, knew her horses, and had so much information about the running of the facility and what happens to the horses when they have complicated retirements. The Devonshire tea was divine, and the meat pie for lunch was lovely. We enjoyed walking around the homestead and garden, and for a place under a flight path to the airport it was very quiet and relaxing. Staff were also good enough to get us back to our nearby hotel when we had trouble with a taxi from the airport.
Staff were great, horses were in fantastic condition, and we enjoyed our time spent among them. Highly recommended if youre into horses, racing, or people who are passionate about what they do.
