What Clients Are Saying Lower Sweetwater Creek Nature Reserve (GG)
4 /5 Gamalath Thilina: This is a pleasant ~2-hour return walk. Parking is available near the entrance, and there’s a children’s playground at one end of the walk. The creek wasn’t full of water during my visit. The path isn’t suitable for prams as there are quite a few steps. Overall, a nice walk to enjoy.
4 /5 Tony Maitland: Nice walk around. Easy to follow paths.
5 /5 Aaron Donohue: This reserve is an extraordinary gem in Frankston. Absolutely beautiful walking trails teaming with birds and natural foliage. I could have spent a whole day exploring. My kids loved it. There was a very accessible playground for them but they preferred all the creeks and trails. The granites is a nice spot to loiter for awhile. I highly recommend visiting.
Travel route Lower Sweetwater Creek Nature Reserve
John Locke I prefer Olivers Hill Beach to Frankston Beach because there are fewer people, more beautiful rocks and cleaner sea water than Frankston Beach. Go swimming, sunbathing, fishing, jogging along the broad walk, watch the sunset, seagulls, boats and waves and do other activities with your kids, friends and family in this attractive place.
The water and winds are cold under the hot sun. You can buy coffee, fish and chips from a van. The pier and ramp are close.
Betty Damianidis Attended the magic by moonlight event here last night. Was a delight to see all the children exited with the colouful and interactive displays. Is wheelchair accessible but just know that it is not paved even ground.
Maria Ahm CARPARK ENTRY via LAWSON AVENUE - WATER WAY - JEREMY WAY.
Maps took us a different route which ended up in a dead end residential street.
Only one carpark entrance into the place but many pedestrian access points. Gates open 6am - 6pm noted on signage at carpark entry on 20/11/2024.
Nice location for a park run!! With many walking/running tracks and also bike tracks too. Different circuits available throughout the place. No toilets at carpark. Huge water area to canoe or standup paddle board. No pets allowed. A beautiful place to explore the nature and see all the beautiful species of wildlife!
Santa Claus Great place to go for a walk or ride, either by yourself or with the family.
Some great views looking across Port Phillip towards the city as well as over part of Frankston and surrounds.
Hot tip: remember to take plenty of water as there are no facilities at this reserve. Also take a camera as you may occasionally be met by some of the local wildlife, and be mindful.of snakes on warmer days.
Jade Green Great place for a quick run, nature walk, toddler wander etc. A few hills but nothing too steep, good views, no steep drop offs or sketchy bits. My toddler was able to do the whole loop on his own.
MK 612 Very attractive pier, ideal for strolling, fishing or just enjoying the chilled beachy vibe. The surrounding boardwalk and walking trails are tidy, modern and well maintained.
Super pretty place with excellent views.
