1 /5 Emily: I was impressed with the design skills and the nail art that was posted by former customers and the salon owner. I specifically picked this salon because I wanted the same nails that the salon owner had previously advertised on here (please refer to the first picture). I came in this past Thursday for an appointment at 11:45am and requested to have my nails done like that first picture. I told the nail technicians that instead of the 3D flowers, I would like a hand-painted flower. I ran into many problems.. I told the nail technicians that the nail powder was too thick and requested it to be thinner. The nails are still very thick. I used to work as a nail technician and know that acrylic nails can be shaved down a bit thinner. An hour and half had passed and they were barely finished with my nails. Instead of doing the flower design, I requested to have them paint glitter over those nails because I needed to leave soon. The older nail technician persuaded that I get the flower designs because my nails wouldn’t look pretty without them. I unwillingly agreed and the second picture is how my nails turned out. I could do those for flowers myself.. anyone could do them. Again, I have worked a nail technician for many years and those for flowers are the designs that we do for babies because they don’t have a lot of nail space. However, those very basic flowers were charged as full-price designs. My total was $80 but because of the on-going winter discount, I was only charged $73. However, I had heard from an interaction with another customer that the winter promotion was a 10% discount, which means that I should have been charged $72. Overall, I am extremely unpleased and am disappointed in this entire experience. I was misled by information that the salon OWNER POSTED ON HERE!! And spend over two hours and go through TWO nail technicians only to have nails that are NOTICEABLY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I HAD REQUESTED!! I also didn’t receive any aftercare. Normally nail technicians would take treat on hang cuticles to ensure that your nails look nice after leaving but this nail technician only applied oil for me. Had the nail technicians told me honestly that they were incapable of doing those designs, I would have accommodated and picked something else. PLEASE BEWARE!
