1 /5 Emily Emzii: I’ve been a regular at this nail salon for over six months, but after my most recent visit, I will not be returning. I brought in a simple design I had seen on their socials, hoping for the same quality and professionalism I’d experienced before. Unfortunately, my visit was far from what I expected.
The service took much longer than usual. A lady started on my nails but kept speaking in another language with the other workers, laughing and seemingly enjoying themselves. At first, I thought it might be harmless, but as more workers came over at different points to watch and laugh, I started to feel increasingly uncomfortable. It felt like I was being mocked, and my attempts to engage in friendly conversation were brushed off.
To make matters worse, the design was poorly executed, with a noticeable gap between the tip and my nail (which I’ve included in the photos). I was made to feel so anxious that I didn’t feel comfortable saying anything and just wanted to leave.
The experience left me feeling disrespected and like a source of entertainment for the staff rather than a valued client. It’s such a shame because I had hoped this salon would continue to be my go-to, but this behavior is not something I can overlook. I will be seeking a new salon where my time and money are respected.
