4 /5 Harshitha Shankar: A beautiful and peaceful spot for a picnic! The low crowds make it worth paying for a memorial picnic if you plan to spend more than a couple of hours here. Please note that a separate ticket is required to visit the mansion, in addition to the entry fee. There’s a guided tour available approximately every hour. The estate is well-maintained, with several charming bridges crossing the lake, offering unique views. If youre up for a little adventure, there’s also a viewpoint accessible via a short climb.

5 /5 Riza G: The mansion is very beautiful and well preserved. The tour was just a small group of 10-15 people so it’s not overcrowded. The tour guide who is a local is very informative of the estate and its surroundings’ history. You can also explore the garden and grounds after the tour. The garden tour was $15pp and for an additional $10pp, you get to have a guided tour inside the mansion as well.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated the informative guided tour led by Jan, who answered all our group questions thoughtfully.

5 /5 Leah Wheeler: The tour of the house was great. Small group of 11. The guide was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We got to see most of the rooms in the house. Beautiful place, very well preserved. I wish I had more times to walk around the grounds as they are expansive and pretty.

5 /5 Paula C: Came for the tour of the Grand mansion. It was a little drawn out and would have been nice if the there was a seat to sit on along the way. I was feeling weary and needed to take the weight off my legs. The lady doing the tour was very informative and it was very interesting. I loved the way they have conserved and protected this historical propriety. If you like the yesteryear and history of such a place. This is definitely worth a visit.

Sir Robert Menzies Reserve

Jason Tabrett A little bit of a hidden gem on the far side of Toorak Road and not easily seen from the street! There is a large sized cricket field there, cricket nets, park bench for picnics and a fun playground for the younger children!

Brighton Bathing Boxes

Yolanda A super cute and colourful place! Each bathing box has its own unique style and artwork. Perfect for photos. The best part was catching a stunning sunset over the beach. Such a relaxing and charming spot. Highly recommended for a walk and some great shots!

Ritchie William Impressive park to lounge around in and enjoy watching the world go by in st kilda, with a beautiful back drop of the coastline and lunch park, with park hosts events all year round so there is always something exciting happening here, Close to public transports rest rooms and cafes bars and restaurants Would recommend

Central Park

Victoria Strong This park is a local slice of heaven. It’s beautifully maintained with annual floral displays and stunning trees. There is a heritage glass house with an orchid display and a beautiful sunken fountain. The local council put incredible events on here too, concerts and carols and light shows. It’s a significant feature of the area and also surrounded by amazing restaurants and coffee shops. Love it!

J R Very pleasant space, friendly, and quiet. Tennis courts, wide open grassy field for running, games, or picnicking. Plenty of shade from beautiful trees. A few benches, one picnic bench. Small childrens playground which is safely fenced because this is an off-lead park. Provision of bins, and dog poo bags.

cartoonrob When its cold in Melbourne and you want a small tropical atmosphere for a few minutes, come in here. It used to be bigger, but it was still enjoyable to check out the range of plants.
