4 /5 kurt lilley: There’s a massive old steam train just chilling on the perimeter of Edwardes Lake Park. No signs explaining why. No context. Just a giant, rusting relic surrounded by a fence, like it’s in timeout for crimes unknown.
Kids press their faces against the bars, dads mumble something about "engineering," and a family of ducks calls it home. It clearly used to go somewhere, but now it just sits there, eternally retired, watching joggers and dodging local graffiti artists.
Why is it here? No one knows. But it’s here. And it’s not leaving.
