LEGOLANDĀ® Discovery Centre Melbourne

Ni My child enjoyed this place a lot, and thats the most important thing, hence the 5 star review. Despite some aspects looking a bit dated and old, like the ride and the 4D cinema. The highlight was taking part in the Master builder session where we went through a guided task of putting a lego figurine together. We booked a 10.30 session online, but we arrived early and they kindly let us in before the allocated time. There is a cafe but we brought our own snacks.

Rippon Lea Estate

Paula C Came for the tour of the Grand mansion. It was a little drawn out and would have been nice if the there was a seat to sit on along the way. I was feeling weary and needed to take the weight off my legs. The lady doing the tour was very informative and it was very interesting. I loved the way they have conserved and protected this historical propriety. If you like the yesteryear and history of such a place. This is definitely worth a visit.

Hedgeley Dene Gardens

Victoria Strong This park is stunning, full of beautiful heritage trees, lots of deciduous trees that give beautiful autumn colors and leaf fall which kids and dogs love to play in. The lake is lovely with much bird life (but feeding not permitted) as well as a waterfall and some pretty bridges. It spans 4 blocks and easily joins up with Central Park… another lovely area with some outstanding cafes and coffee shops to break the trip.

Glen Iris Wetlands

Nara Lee Very pleasant and beautiful walking/cycling trail that spans several parks along the creek. The greenery is maintained beautifully. Definitely worth going for a more scenic exercise.

Great Wall of St Kilda

Adam G This stunning wall was created in 2009 by Australian artist Camille Monet and the St Kilda Residents community. They named it the "Great Wall of St Kilda" and it covers what was previously an ugly wall of a Citypower building that was the target of tagging and old bill posters. Its 11 metres x 5 meters and made of a total of 807 clay tiles. Camille Monet created two hundred and seven large tiles and six hundred smaller tiles were designed and made by local St Kilda residents who she encouraged to participate. The tiles were designed to capture some of the past and present characters and stories in the making of what St Kilda is. Each tile is unique and you can spend a lot of time just looking at them and taking in each message. It’s colourful and thus representative of St Kilda. Its definitely worth checking out.

Malvern Public Gardens

John Locke A beautiful and peaceful park with birds and a lot of green space. Picnicking in the grass, walking dogs, jogging and reading in the shade of trees are enjoyable. Visit the Charles Robinette Fountain, too. There is a decent pond.
