1 /5 S Goenka: I visited this salon on 25-May around 1:30pm to get my eyebrows threaded, but I left feeling bruised and upset. The threader was incredibly tight, and I could feel something sharp poking into my skin. As the pain intensified, I asked for a mirror to check, and there was clearly a bruise. When confronted, she responded very politely, saying, “It happens, it will go away in two days.”
I was shocked and disbelieving. How could she not understand the pain I was in? If I didn’t want beautiful eyebrows, I could have left with bushy ones. Why would I come here to get an ugly bruise? There was no remorse whatsoever from her, as if it was something regular to happen.
I was upset and didn’t want to pay, so she started arguing and threatened to call security. First, she blamed me for abusing the staff, and then she started swearing. I suppose she had abused me first by bruising my face. Then, she called me mentally ill.
It was too much for me, and I left after paying. Pretty sure I am not the first unhappy customer. I’m definitely not returning to this salon.
