Carmel Carbone After being extremely weary about having my eyebrows done and after much consultation with the beauty therapist I decided to go ahead. My one reservation was that I did not want to look like overly done and the brows to be too dark and two thick as it had been a number of years that my eyebrows had diminished. After nearly 3 hours with so much care and precision I could not wait to see the result. It was amazing. I could not believe how good it looked. After this appointment I met up with a friend for dinner one night and she stated that I looked different but could not pinpoint how. I was so thrilled that she did not notice that I now had eyebrows as they look so natural. I decided to tell her that I went to Proven Beauty in Kane Cove. Madi Ring The service at Choi Lash and Brow is amazing. Meae does an amazing job at both brows and lashes, I’ve tried other places and nothing compares to Choi Lash and Brow. Jeannie Gee I love that Wendy and her team dont try to give the impression that they are the Vidal Sassoon of Lane Cove but rather, they are fully trained, experienced stylists/colourists who never make clients feel that they are doing them a favour by attending to their hair And whilst it may not seem like a big deal, the music they play in the background is modern but not jarring; which is often the case - i.e. not the blaring techno which some salons play for their stylists benefit, rather than their clients. so for the most part, I can just chill out whilst Im there. Its hardly surprising that many, if not most, of their clients feel like cherished old friends the minute they walk in. And, I hasten to add its, not only suited to the Grannies of Lane Cove because I see lots of young, trendy men and women walking out with modern styles and a smile on their faces. Oh, and importantly for me, they use ammonia free products!

Alya Meyer Tattoo brows for blonds is possible. Micro blading and Shading. It took me a long time to find someone who could pick the shade to match my natural hair tone this well. I was very sceptical going into this experience. Wendy was very calm and professional to attend to all of my questions and concerns. I loved how precise she was when designing the brow shape on my face. The procedure was pleasant and didn’t hurt at all. I instantly loved the result. Mariah Tissera I went here based on seeing the positive reviews. However, my experience was very disappointing. I went to get a manicure which cost $25. When Cindy was doing my nails she would constantly get up and do other things while she was in the MIDDLE of painting my nails. There was no respect for the customers time. After the nails were done, I noticed there were gaps on the nails with no nailpolish. I had to point this to her and she corrected it. A day later the nailpolish started to come off! I called Cindy and she said its normal because it only lasts for TWO-THREE days! If I have known this I would not have paid $25. I have never had a manicure that lasted only a few days. It goes to show that the quality here is very poor. Cindy did offer to redo my nails for free and I accepted and tried to book a time. However, she said I cannot book a time and I just have to wait. I asked if I can come earlier just as the shop opens and she said no I would have to wait. Other customers are allowed to book but I wasnt. So I decided that it is not worth my time and energy dealing with this place and decided to go to another nail Salon. Cindy is friendly but the quality of products and service is extremely poor. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Amy and the person that massaged my partner were both exceptional at finding the knots you didn’t know were there. Lovely people, professional and clean. I am so lucky to have found them!

M I had a lash lift and tint with Jess (first time), she was fantastic from start to finish - my eyelashes look amazing and turned out better than expected. Ashly Davies-Graham It took two hours to butcher my hair when I booked in for a bouncy blow out. The stylist I got did not know how to use equipment. When I called up and complained they offered to re-do but no thank you. You should have given me my money back. This was before my pregnancy photo shoot. I had to race home and fix it (try) and then had hardly any time to fix this train wreck.

Maddie Ayre Recently had a manicure and pedicure (Saturday 21-Oct). I used to go to this salon quite frequently when I lived in the area but the service is very hit or miss depending on who you get. The pedicure was okay and the colour was good. For my fingernails I got a new type of gel nail that is meant to be better for your nail, the lady who did my nails kept ignoring my request for shorter nails claiming that it would be shorter when she shaped them. They were still too long for my liking but you know a little bit longer isn’t too much of an issue. Not to mention she quite abruptly told me to stop moving and just didn’t seem to really care. What I had the most issue with is that my thumb on my right hand she seemed to struggling with and ripped part of the paint off and instead of tailing it off the whole thumb she just painted over it. It is now Monday (23-Oct) and my thumb has cracked. Honestly with the service from what I received on Saturday I won’t be returning and l will go back to my trusted nail salon. It is really a shame as the lady who did my friend’s nails right next to me was so warm and accommodating. An update this new product that they recommend obviously isn’t what it’s meant to be as I’ve had another nail snap in half and another with a slight crack. Another update Tuesday 24-October another nail had just snapped in half. I have never had nails of such bad quality before. Just a note as well I work an office job not manual labour where it would make sense that the nails would break.

Bec Gordon YF Beauty always provides great customer service. I’ve gotten the builder gel from Johnny several times now and he always does a fabulous job with great attention to detail. They always last for ages too (4 weeks) with no lifting or damage. Would definitely recommend getting your nails done from Johnny.

SayVarRee One of the filthiest most disgusting marketplaces Ive ever been too. The toilets are all broken. The disability toilet doesnt lock. The mens toilets have no locks. The toilets are not fit for human use. Contacting this centre to raise these issues is impossible.

Tiana Zarafetas Envie has been my families go to nail place since we moved to the area! The staff are so kind and friendly and very professional at doing their job. I am always warmly greeted with smiles! Lee is normally my artist who does my nails as I like to get designs and she does them to perfection! Every time I have shown her inspiration pictures she is effortlessly able to match it exactly! Lee’s lines and precision with designs is immaculate! I am always extremely happy seeing the results of my nails after I visit Envie!

angela chillari They ripped me off. I was waiting for a friend and they kept asking me if I wanted a service, I explained I was going natural, all my nails were cut real short so no need. I did ask if they did massage, they said yes $25. In the middle of treatment they asked if I wanted hand massage. Next thing I know they are using clippers. $108 later, $5 discount for cash. I felt abused. I left there, mouth wide open shaking. Their English is not good..is that how they think they can get away with this. We wont be going back and I have done this review. Karma.

Samantha Monteiro Ive been here on a couple of occasions, unfortunately I will never go here again. Denise was extremely rude to me, a pregnant mum after my service. I went for a wax prior to delivery and have extremely bad pain in my pubic bone which I explained to Denise. Denise tried to be thorough and do the best she could however I was made to roll from side to side multiple times which didnt help the pain. I tried to do this quickly however its hard for multiple reasons including the wax sticking to me and sticking my skin together and sticking my skin to sheet. She also didnt warm up the wax enough and everytime it was rolled onto my skin it was torture, like my skin was being ripped off. When I got home my husband mentioned a few significant spots were missed. I originally called Denise to arrange to have this rectified which she agreed to however when I couldnt make that appointment (as my son was sick) and tried to reschedule, I was yelled at, told I should have checked for missed spots before leaving on the day (unsure how Id do this when I cant even see my lady bits) and told that I "carried on like a pork chop" and how it was the hardest wax shes ever had to do. Even if this were true, its extremely rude and unprofessional. I hope no other pregnant woman is treated the way I was. Really upsetting.

Monique K I had a beautiful experience for my first visit to Xara. There was a hydradermabrasion special for $49 that prompted me to try the salon. So glad I did! My skin feels and looks amazing. Cristine was so gentle and welcoming and there was no skimping on products to clean, tone and moisturise my skin. The oxygen mask was so refreshing and something I’d not had before. I really appreciated the comprehensive questionnaire I was asked to fill in and Cristine looked at it carefully and asked me questions to check the treatment would be suitable for me. The treatment room was clean and comfortable. I was not asked to write this review, I just like to share when I’ve had a good experience. It’s a shame old reviews related to a different business are affecting the otherwise 5 star rating Xara would have.

Hemal Sethia I had my laser for half legs done yesterday and it’s not worth it. They maybe good for other services however would not recommend them for laser. I still have hair on my legs. So you are asking me to remove the review. I am not doing it. And I know how laser works as I have done Brazilian and underarms. So I know what I am saying and I am not removing this as an error at all. Either do a good job or improve when someone is giving you a feedback versus asking to remove and being rude.
