He has an incredible eye for what will suit you, and his colouring skills are fab – my hair always looks vibrant and healthy. Every time I leave his salon, I feel like a million dollars. Plus, hes just a genuinely great guy, making the whole experience enjoyable.

JP Theres an ad in the shopping centre (Ive attached a pic) that says if you take a photo of the ad and show it to the barber, you will get $10 off. I did exactly that, but the barber said the offer had "expired". It says nothing about an expiry on the ad. Im a regular customer for 2 years, and their misleading advertising is leading me to look elsewhere. Theres plenty of competition.

Neve Piper Having moved to Australia and served Austen at a restaurant, I got his contact to get my hair cut and dyed in October. (My hair is thick, curly, frizzy and difficult, so in the UK I’ve only ever found 1 hairdresser who I trusted to dye my hair!) I wanted to continue the high lift tint I had in previously, and Austen’s suggestion to do full instead of half head and add some bleach was definitely needed! The cut and colouring is perfect, suits my natural skin/ hair tone and is growing out beautifully. After struggling with the humidity I then got a keratin treatment in December. (I’ve also never had this done before!) My hair has never felt softer, healthier and manageable - it’s MAGIC. I can wash, dry, and style my hair quickly/ easily and looks like I’ve left the salon. I love the colour even more now somehow. Think I’ll be having keratin done for the rest of my life… I’m going back to Austen for a trim in February, doing the Keratin again before going back to the UK in May, and a half head of colour if needed. So grateful to have found Austen this early on since moving to Australia, I wouldn’t have anyone else do my hair and not sure what I’m going to do when I move back home!

Lucie Flaxman I found Austen in 2007 when I did a google search for a good hairdresser who could manage very curly hair. At the time he was working for another hairdresser, in 2009 he opened his own salon, I followed him and have always been very happy the decision I made.. Im now living on the Gold Coast and often fly to Sydney to see our family, hence, I always combine my trip to include a good haircut, Keratin treatment and colour. The Keratin Treatment I receive from Austen always lasts at least 6-9 months, the colour is always the correct colour of my choice and lasts a good three months. He always does as asked and hes the only hairdresser I dont go home and re-do my hair after a salon visit. Ive always found Austen and his staff to be very polite, helpful and friendly. Not only do I get my hair done, I can now also have my manicure and pedicure done while having my hair done, a well needed addition to the salon I would highly recommend you give his Salon a try, you may still come back after 12 years as I do. Thank you Austen for the great service see you in a few months.

Although the shop has moved not far along Pacific Hwy, the people are still the same. Louis is a highly trained professional. I normally have my hair coloured. I have tried other salons but Louis came up tops, He knows his colour very well and gives good advice. He is very practical, prompt and provides exceptional service. Hence I am a happy returning customer at Lumix.

Inaara Jindani Please be cautious when you go here! I went to JJ previously and she had cut me long layers which I really loved. I came back recently for a trim by Eva and it’s completely choppy and my layers are very uneven. Update: I messaged the business, they apologised and promised a refund. They then stopped responding and never issued one despite waiting a week. I then had to do a chargeback with my bank. Very disappointed. Please also note that the reviews on Fresha are all 5 stars as they don’t approve lower star reviewed comments.

G G A simple fringe trim - very disappointed. It is all wrong. I have had a fringe for 30+ years and never had this problem. The shape is wrong and it’s much too short will take months to repair. I hadn’t read the reviews beforehand and now wish I had. I should have just done it myself.

Salon located the inside of Greenwood plaza, need to walk all the way to the end of the plaza (from station), opposite is news agency. Highly recommend this salon! I had Jay as my hairdresser today, she is so lovely and very professional! I usually show photos to my hairdresser for my hairstyles, but Jay recommend what suites me better, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my new color and cut! Great experience! Highly recommend!!!!!!

I love a hairdresser who can guide and educate not just deliver what your say. Es Hart Went in for an eyebrow wax and we agreed just a little clean up and slightly thinner, half my brows are gone. There is now an odd kink to one of them. To make it worse she rushed the end because a man came in asking for a haircut without an appointment. She rushed me to serve him, even though she could tell I wasnt happy with my brows!
