My hair is always beautifully maintained, healthy, and shiny thanks to Sehee’s consistent care and expertise. I go in monthly for touch-ups and treatments, and the difference it makes in the health and shine of my hair is really noticeable. As someone who’s bleached their hair for many years I can see the difference at Banyo and that they truly understand how to care for hair long-term, because it shows. I’ve also tried their head spa—and let me tell you, it’s absolutely HEAVENLY. It’s an experience that not only feels amazing and relaxing but also deeply nourishes your scalp and hair. What I love most about Banyo is that Sehee and the team doesn’t treat hair as just something to style, but something to care for. They take the time to understand your needs and deliver results that are both beautiful and sustainable. Sehee is really honest when it comes to what she recommends and doesn’t recommend depending on your hair condition, which I really appreciate and hence will not go elsewhere. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and really took the time to understand what I wanted. His attention to detail was impressive, and I felt completely at ease throughout the whole appointment. R I asked for a shampoo that was lightweight for fine hair that doesn’t leave an oily residue. Unfortunately the shampoo they recommended makes my hair look greasy as it has a residue. While I understand no one can predict if it works with your hair or not, it was a really bad choice for my hair. It also isn’t technically for everyday use like the lady had told me. I wish they had samples as it would make the selection process easier.

Izzy Leggett I visited the store on Monday, 5th May, and was assisted by Georgia. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me warmly and offered support every step of the way. I’ve been putting off buying a particular hair tool for quite some time, simply because I never felt confident enough to make the right choice—until I met Georgia. She was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, offering genuine advice that helped me feel completely confident in my decision. Thanks to her, I finally purchased the product I’d been eyeing for ages, and I couldn’t be happier. Carrie Muir My daughter has long curly hair and I have spent hundreds and hundreds of $’s on products recommended by various hair places as well as hairdressers. All of these products sit half used as none of them did what was promised. BUT…then we spoke to Georgia @Oz Hair and Beauty at Macquarie…..what an absolute legend this girl is. Georgia is polite, happy and so knowledgeable about the products. For the very first time my daughter’s curls are controlled and her hair looks incredible. So people, don’t waste your time or money going anywhere else, Georgia will definitely sort you out.

R J I went into the Macquarie Centre store yesterday - Monday 27/01/2025 - as I have been experiencing some big issues with significant damage to my naturally curly hair due to over bleaching, which has caused me a lot of worry. I didn’t know where to start so I needed some advice on repairing my now dark hair, and the woman who helped me, Georgia, really helped me out with what products would help my hair. She was friendly, informative and knowledgeable and I feel really confident now that I can love my hair back to life, using the products recommended to me. The nanoplasty treatment has transformed my hair—its smoother, shinier, and more manageable than ever before. I genuinely feel confident and fabulous.

Emma Searle Had a Brazilian blowout done by Marc last week and I’ve waited until after a couple washes to give my review. This was my first smoothing treatment I’ve had done on my hair, and I’ve been straightening with a GHD for around 20 years. I have 2c/3a waves/curls, and it’s very thick and frizzy. To sound cliche, with my toddler, I don’t have the time to spend on straightening it all the time now, or have much time to spend on getting ready. Whilst it hasn’t remained as perfectly straight as it was when it was first done, I am still happy with the results as it has cut my hair styling time (from washed to ready) down from like 1.5hrs to around 20mins. Just an easy blow dry and a quick flat iron to touch up the ends. I’m also not worried about the rain or humidity which is nice for a change! :) I like that the treatment does eventually wash out over time, as I wouldn’t want the permanent result that grows out and leaves the regrowth looking different to the rest of the hair. Another positive, Marc is so lovely and helpful throughout the whole process. Answers any questions I’ve had (even after) and clearly knows a lot about what he does! Salon is easy to find and parking wasn’t an issue. Thanks again Marc! Will be back :) **2 photos are a couple hours after treatment. Then when wet after I washed it the next day. And after I blow dried it (but not flat ironed). Last pic with lighter hair is a few years ago (I don’t have many pics of my natural hair, but this shows my natural texture.

Very good and updated with all types of hairstyles and fades. We have been regular here for the past 1.5 yrs now. Drop in for a good trim and a lot of conversation.

A Mckenzie John is an absolutely amazing barber. Easy going. I go into Coles whilst my husband is getting his hair cut. Plenty of parking. If you live in or around North Ryde Or Macquarie Park come here instead. The best barber in North Ryde and Macquarie Park. And the best thing about John is that he is very Fast. Highly Recommended.

Keval Gandhi Rushed like there is no tomorrow, his improvisations lets just say never end, showed him a photo of mine 1 month ago to copy from directly, and managed to screw up, doesnt listen, showed him a shorter which was still possible since you cant go back, again didnt copy right. Friendly sure, but no point if you dont listen, I specifically told him to be careful on the sides, ended up with a mushroom. My work is office based. My Card declined honest mistake, gave him cash right away, happens to the best of us, yet terribly insulting. No wonder he is the only one working with a 4 chair salon 5 years running.

NISAL HANSAJA I recently visited this salon for a perm and a haircut, and I have to say, I’m quite disappointed with the overall experience. The stylist who did my perm, rushed through the process of installing the perm rods, which resulted in a poor perm. I had specifically asked for tight curls, but some sections of my natural straight hair were left out entirely because the rods weren’t placed properly. This meant that parts of my hair remained completely untreated and didn’t curl at all. I also got a haircut, and while the stylist who did the cut tried to make my hair look a bit better, I pointed out the straight sections that were missed during the perm. Her response was, “You can get it fixed next time.” Honestly, it felt like they owed me a whole redo, not just a casual suggestion to come back to pay again. When my hair was freshly styled in the salon, it looked okay, but it didn’t take long for the issues to show. Now, my hair is a mix of uneven curls and straight pieces, and it looks pretty bad overall. This was my first time getting a perm and visiting this salon. I did my research, paid in advance, and expected better based on what I saw on their Instagram page, though I later found out those results were done by a different stylist. I’m not angry, but I’m definitely disappointed. Quality and professionalism are what matter in the end, and unfortunately, I didn’t get the result I was hoping for.

Ive been seeing her since day one, and over the year, Ive done a scalp bleach, gone full creme blonde, and most recently, had a reverse balayage. Today, I came in for a treatment and face-framing highlights after a month of my reverse balayage, and the results are truly impressive. Maya is dedicated to her clients and always takes the time to listen to your expectations. She offers great suggestions and really cares about the health of your hair. Once you start seeing her, you can trust that shell always take care of your hair and provide expert guidance."

Eli Bel Good service and the lady was really lovely unfortunately the highlights I was given were not how I really wanted them (maybe a miscommunication?) they were way too light on my dark hair and it was done way too chunky and uneven. One thing I hate is how the highlights on the right side are drastically different to the left side of my head. I have chunkier bits on one side. Also why are the highlights all completely different shades?! Even until now i cannot find a way to fix them after being to numerous other salons. In the photo below Ive had hair retouched by a salon to help with the chunky parts which didnt fix the terrible highlights at all. It will cost me more money and salon visits to fix it. I think you got carried away with the highlighting service, dont know how to give your client what they want, or cannot create highlights at a professional level. Theyre just way too uneven and chunky. I dont think a professional salon would give me something like this and wish I got my money back.

Jen Quon This hair salon is dishonest and misleading in how they charge you, so would highly advise helping them lose your business so they know to rectify their behaviour. I asked for a simple fringe cut $25 they then proceeded to blowdry my fringe (without asking) and say they should just trim the edges of my hair to make it complete - and charged me $110 for apparently a full blow dry and haircut. There was no full blow dry, literally just my fringe, nor was there disclosure of a full haircut of costs. They also tried to upsell me hair products, of course, and even had the audacity to tell me I was getting a discount for not washing my hair. Please avoid being scammed.

She perfectly understood what I wanted and delivered exceptional results. Not only did I leave feeling fabulous, but I also enjoyed our conversation. Shreya Gyawali Got a haircut there recently and the staff hardly communicated anything. There was no clarity on who was cutting my hair, not much consultation around what I would like or even the services they offer. Booked an appointment for a specific time and still had to wait. I would not recommend to those who’d like some suggestion or consultation about your hair. The service is not at all worth the price which is $57 for just a trim.

Samiha Nazmun Nahar They have a clean and tidy place. The atmosphere is really good, nice music playing in the background both the times I went. The hairstylist is nice and chatty, gives tips on how to take care of your hair. Price point is very decent as well. Will be back for my next appointment.

Abbey Pal Three of our friends visited this salon last week and it was the worst decision of our lives. They just destroyed our hair which will take at least 6 months to repair. I dont know what to say. If it was for ine person, i could understand that may be ine of the hair stylist was not okay. But for all of us? Unbelievable. Moreover when my friend was upset and asked her to fix her hair as much as possible the lady started behaving rude. None of yhem actually behaved well and professionally during the entire session to be honest. One of my friends later told me that they were shooting racist slurs at us in their own chinese language for fun so that we could not understand but my friend is undergoing Chinese language course so she could clearly understand their motives. May be this is why they destroyed our hair intentionally for which even we had to pay hefty amount. Probably the worst day in our lives. Remember Karama will always do the justice.

Lena Syona good experience of cutting woman’s hair, both hairdressers were very nice and approachable, need to book an appointment about an hour before going, convenient location next to the Asian grocery store. Very cool massage chair for hair wash. I would definitely recommend this shop!

shravya s Had a terrible experience in this salon with their service and extremely rude behaviour. I had asked them for a shade of hair colour which they got totally wrong and the colour was barely visible. After shelling out more than 300 dollars my hair looked exactly the same as it was when i had walked in. They agreed to redo the colour but i had to pay extra for the bleach to achieve the outcome that I wanted in the first place. I wasnt told upfront about the end result and was extremely disappointing with the outcome. What was more shocking was the way the owner spoke when I was trying to politely explain. She was extremely unprofessional and rude. I will never recommend this place to anyone who wants a decent job done with their hair.
