Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre - NSW

Vini B For $70m I expected more. It should be a 24/7 gym but for some reason it isn’t (it should be coming but no one knows when). There’s a small gym with limited equipment which makes access difficult when busy (to make it worse they run classes in the gym that take over some equipment further limiting access). The new treadmills are buggy (go into error mode or offline before or during use). The treadmills are situated in front of floor to ceiling windows with no blinds so that you are blinded by the afternoon sun. If you need to talk to a staff member they are seldom available. Forget spin classes ther’s no cycling studio. There’s no sauna or spas. Speakers in the centre repeat a no cellular signal message all day which is quite annoying. The few cycles in the gym have some recorded classes but the videos resolution is so poor you can’t see anything. To top it off the membership is more expensive then the nearby Ascot Vale Leisure Centre that, though older, is far better equipped, has spin studio, has saunas and spa, a larger cafe and keeps open for longer and the staff are always on hand when needed. The Kensington Recreation Centre needs to significantly improve or cut its prices to reflect its more limited service.

Esencia Pilates and Wellness Studio - NSW

Matisse Antonelli Really enjoying the classes and atmosphere of Esencia. All the instructors are lovely and run really seamless and effective sessions. Hard to find studios that run an array of classes as well so love the variety!

State of Fitness - NSW

Andy Yu Its been almost a year since I started at State of Fitness and I have absolutely no regrets. This was my first ever experience at a gym so there was a definitely a bit of intimidation going in. Thankfully Dylan and the team have been very understanding and tailored the 1 on 1 sessions and ongoing program to my level. The team puts great focus on to form and safety, so Ive been able to move quickly up in strength without any injuries. The progress has been so satisfying I very quickly went from going in once a week to slowly build a habit to going in 4 days a week. The community at the gym is also fantastic, and everybody is incredibly friendly and there are no cliche gym-egos. Unfortunately for me, a few members greet me by name and I have no idea who they are and I think its too late to ask. If youre reading this review and thinking of joining, I would highly encourage it and please pretend youre hard of hearing and ask people to introduce themselves loudly thanks. edit: July-25, added progress photo. With cake. Always with cake.

Dynamic Pilates - Manly - NSW

Karol Garcia I’ve attended to Dynamic Pilates for the last 7 years and I can not recommend it enough, the best equipment and the standard/level of instructors is very high, no matter who teaches you they are all equally great. Gemma has done a fantastic job making sure of having just highly qualified instructors working at the studio.
