Being new to CrossFit and having just turned 45, I wanted to kickstart my fitness again with a “go hard or go home” attitude. From my very first introduction call with Holly (an incredible coach and all-round great human), I was a little hesitant, but I made the commitment and now I’m in my third week.
What I’ve discovered is so much more than just workouts. I’ve found an amazing community of people who genuinely lift each other up. At first, I thought my main goal was to lose weight, but yesterday a colleague said to me, “You look different you’re glowing. Whatever you’re doing, it’s working.” That’s when my perspective shifted.
It’s not just about losing weight it’s about feeling GOOD. And in just a few short weeks, that’s exactly what has happened. Another big shift for me has been stepping out of my comfort zone to make those 5:30am classes. I honestly love my sleep but showing up that early has been a real game changer.
