1 /5 M K: To Whom It May Concern,
I’m writing to address the deeply disappointing and unprofessional treatment I received at your gym, and to make it clear that I will not be engaging in any further discussions regarding this matter.
When I first joined your gym, I specifically asked Jamie whether this was a family-run business. I was told, no. However, I later discovered that his mother works as the front desk attendant and that Jamie’s entire family is involved in the business. Had I known this from the start, I would have never stepped foot in your gym. If the gym is truly family-run, that should have been disclosed upfront especially given how much personal drama has now become entangled with the so-called "business."
The situation escalated when Jamie’s mother physically touched me without my consent. I politely asked her to stop, but instead of respecting my request, she made unnecessary and unprofessional comments to others in the gym, escalating the situation further. When Jamie finally stepped in, he informed me that he had no choice but to ban me, all because of a complaint made by his mother. This, in my opinion, is completely unjust. It’s clear that family dynamics, not professionalism, are driving decisions at your gym.
It’s obvious now that if your gym is going to be run as a family business, then perhaps it’s best kept within the family. If family members are going to be allowed to interfere with gym operations, create drama, and make decisions that affect paying members, then you should be upfront about it. I have no interest in being involved in a situation where family issues are prioritized over customer service or professionalism.
I’m done here. I don’t expect any further communication from your end, nor do I wish to discuss this matter further. This entire experience has left me with no desire to return, and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Sincerely,
