1 /5 Lusti: W A R N I N G
THEY HAVE LOST MY PRECIOUS JEWELLERY.
MY LATE MOTHERS JEWELLERY THAT I WAS HAVING REPAIRED. FIVE (5) PIECES
IM DEVASTATED
The Owner/ Jeweller doesnt even seem to care and it seems that he even suspects that Im up to something. He seems confused and in denial about the whole matter and not apologetic but dismissive. Hung up on me and wont answer calls. I have no choice but to go to police.
He tells me he has surveillance so hopefully he works out how my jewellery was stolen. Police will demand this from him. Because if it isnt there, its been stolen which he is responsible for.
Continues to not cooperate so Ive now reported the theft of my jewellery to the police. If its happened to you, please contact the local police and let them know. Interesting to know how many others have had this happened to them.
Thank God I have a receipt and I even took several photos of the jewellery on their counter on drop off.
Will be seeking legal advice and compensation.
UPDATE: The owner has made up an elaborate story when interviewed by police X 2. He now claims that his surveillance cameras show the person picking up the jewellery but he didnt get them to sign for the jewellery because the supposed person just left the store quickly (incompetent at the least) He claims that the person produced the ticket - although I have the ticket???. BUT, when police asked for surveillance, he claims to have recorded over it (which is after I have shown up with the original ticket for pick up of my jewellery) He goes as far as describing the woman in the footage. Police go to neighbouring businesses for surveillance but they dont have anything. Police tell me his story and it does not add up.
THEN, He makes the best move. He rings me a few weeks later, and I happen not to hear the call, and leaves a message that he found the jewellery in his solder box. MIRACLE
I called police and they asked him to return jewellery to the police station while I wait as I dont trust him.
He had mislead police with his made up fancy full story.
Will leave it with you to decide if you think this is the business to leave your precious jewellery with. Good luck if you do. He is very dishonest and of very poor integrity. If he can lie to the police he is of poor character.
Another update since this incident: my elderly neighbor told me that her husband took a precious watch to this jeweler and he lost the watch. Unfortunately they didnt persue compensation but they regret taking the watch to this dishonest poor excuse of a jeweller. WARNING WARNING WARNING
