1 /5 nAd: I went here to get my watch band shortened, for which I was quoted $40. When I went back to pick it up, I was told I had to pay $160. When I asked what was the reason I was charged 4 times more, Darren told me it was because the guy he gave the watch to, charged him more than he expected. Moreover, when I made him notice that the watch band wasnt shortened enough, resulting in the watch to be too loose to be worn, Darren replied that it will be right when I will put on weight as I get older. In the end, he admitted his fault and charged me $90 but still, more than double I was quoted and without the service I asked for, completed correctly. I later found out that the "quotation trick" is a regular practice of this shop as many customers have been heavily overpriced from the initial quotation given. Be careful when going to Hourglass Jewellers and refuse to pay if overcharged!
