5 /5 Maddie G: I have been to SkinKandy Warringah many many times since they’ve opened (even took advantage of their BOGO free piercings on their opening weekend back in 2017!) and the service I receive never fails to disappoint. This evening I was served by one of your amazing staff members (didn’t grab their name but they had awesome purple hair!), who was very kind in helping me get some teeny tiny jewellery back into some hard to reach piercings. They were so kind, helpful, and attentive; I left thrilled with the service I received and reminded of why I always come back to SkinKandy for my piercing needs! Thank you so much!

They used single-use tools, which made the entire process feel very clean and safe. I got piercing on last Saturday afternoon. The piercing itself wasn’t as painful as I imagined; it felt more like getting a vaccination shot. After the procedure, the staff carefully explained all the steps for aftercare, making sure I knew exactly what to do for a smooth recovery. This is such a fantastic and professional place—I highly recommend it!

1 /5 Isabella Welch: Extremely disappointing experience at Skin Kandy. My friend booked an appointment based on a promotional offer advertised as “2 piercings for $80,” but was charged $125 with no explanation—false advertising at its finest. From the moment we arrived, the piercer, Dani, was shockingly rude. When my friend mentioned that the limited jewelry options weren’t really her style (she wears gold, and everything offered was silver), Dani responded with “you can go and get pierced somewhere else then.” She rolled her eyes throughout the appointment, made us wait around 20 minutes to even be seen, and created an uncomfortable, tense atmosphere. In the room, we tried to be polite and engage in small talk—basic stuff like asking how long she’d worked there. Her response? “Three years,” followed by “it’s a job,” in the most monotone, disengaged tone imaginable. When it came time to mark up the ear for placement, my friend simply asked for a few different positioning options—something totally normal for a permanent procedure. Dani seemed annoyed and frustrated by even that small request. To top it off, after the piercings were done, we had to wait another 20 minutes just to pay while Dani chatted to other customers. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, rushed, and deeply uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend Skin Kandy to anyone based on this visit—especially if you’re hoping to feel respected and heard.

1 /5 Ahmed Kutluoglu: I had a very disappointing experience here today. Last week I came with my younger daughter to get her ears pierced, and everything went smoothly. However, when I returned this week with my older daughter to get her nose pierced, the store manager’s behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. On the phone, I was told that showing her school ID through the School Byte app would be acceptable since I didn’t have her physical ID with me. But when we arrived, the same manager who helped us last week was visibly frustrated, saying things like “It’s so frustrating, you were here last week, you know you needed the document.” When we realized her physical ID was actually in the car, instead of being understanding, he said, “You have two minutes to get it or we won’t do it – we’re fully booked.” When I calmly asked why he was being so unfriendly compared to last week, his response was dismissive and disrespectful. He repeatedly called me “darling” in a condescending tone, and when I said that was inappropriate, he replied “I can talk to you however I want, darling.” This is completely unacceptable customer service. As a paying customer, I do not expect to be spoken to with such arrogance and hostility. Respect and professionalism are the bare minimum in any business, especially when dealing with children. If this is how management treats customers, I cannot recommend this place at all. I understand that people may be dealing with difficult personal struggles, and throughout this entire interaction I consciously kept my calm for that reason. However, even 9 hours later, I still haven’t been able to shake off the impact of this experience. I am absolutely certain that I did not say or do anything that could justify being treated this way. What I still cannot comprehend is how someone so mentally unstable and erratic can be in a customer-facing position – let alone a Store Manager, if what he said about his role was true. I believe it is absolutely essential for anyone to know that speaking to a mother in such a manner – especially in front of her children – is something that should never happen.
