1 /5 Jjjj Yyy: I went to this salon to have my acrylic nails removed after a couple of them broke.
Normally, they use a remover and wrap it in foil to gently dissolve the acrylic, but this time, a woman with very dark eyebrow tattoos (who I believe was a middle-aged staff member) grabbed a nail clipper and started aggressively cutting my nails.
She didn’t even try to use the proper method, and when I told her it hurt, she just laughed it off and continued.
If I wanted my nails ripped off like that, I could have done it myself at home.
The problem is, by ripping them off this way, it damages the natural nail underneath. That’s why I went to the salon in the first place! In the end, they charged me $20 for this awful experience. If they had actually removed my nails properly, I wouldn’t have minded paying $50, but this was just unprofessional and unacceptable.
Also, I’m very concerned about the lack of hygiene at this salon. I noticed that they were using unsterilized tools that had clearly been used by other clients. I recently heard about a case where someone died from an infection after being treated with unsanitized equipment at a Vietnamese nail salon. This is extremely alarming, and I strongly urge the staff to take better care of hygiene standards to ensure the safety of their clients.
