4 /5 John karmas: Peter Depena Reserve is located in Russell Avenue, Dolls Point, a small suburb near Sans Souci. It is an ideal family park with free electric BBQs, picnic shelters and park seating.
There are plenty of large trees, which provide shade during hot summer months and also a great playground for kids of all ages. Large grassy open spaces make the reserve perfect for playing ball, cricket or for children to fly their kites.
For those wishing to go bike riding, skateboarding or scooting, a great bike track runs along the reserve, right near the beach that extends for several kilometres and leads to Cook Park. The beach next to the reserve has beautiful white sand, but the sea can get choppy. You will often see kitesurfers testing their skills as they combine wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding, and gymnastics into one extreme sport. If you have not seen kitesurfing before, grab a coffee and go and watch these extremely fit and strong riders in action
