At the pointy part of Dolls Point, where the Georges River and Cooks River meet Botany Bay, you’ll find this stretch of beach wrapped around the Georges River 16ft Sailing Club. Navigate to their car park for free three-hour parking, before hitting the water from a variety of entry points: some near the jetty are shallow for a fair way out, while heading to the southwest end will get you into deep water much faster.
The naming of the beaches here can be quite confusing, as Lady Robinsons Beach is 5km long in total, but has a number of beaches on its stretch (from north to south):
Kyeemagh Beach Baths
Brighton-Le-Sands Beach
Kite Beach, Monterey
Ramsgate Beach
Dolls Point Beach
So we were at the southernmost bit today, and have tried some but not all of those further north. And we probably won’t any time soon, as we weren’t convinced about this one. Too many jet skis and wave runners tearing up the serenity, and it’s kind of interesting, but only pretty from certain angles. If we lived nearby I’m sure we’d use it lots but we’re not sure it’s worth a longer trip.
