Rakesh Prasad Chaturvedi The Lakes of Cherrybrook form an interesting hub. The Macquarie Drive and Shepherd Drive junction lies at one corner, with their respective bus stands on the parameter; The Callicoma Bush Walk passes through it. Cherrybrook Village shopping centre and a petrol/ service station lie just across the road. The Greenway Park- Community Centre and a dog park are within 200 metres.
Yet, its a quaint area amidst tall trees; a grass belt separates the lakes from the road. A cemented walkway, benches, barbecue area, picnic tables, drinking fountain for humans and pets are imaginatively placed. A large childrens play area, still being further improved, lies just off the water body.
Theres fair biodiversity. Ducks, fishes, birds, iguanas, and many variety of plants abound.
The point is, accessibility is no problem, parking is no problem. Its a good transit halt for walkers... I often grab a sandwich and coffee from Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre and sit out leisurely in the Sun as part of my long walks. Ditto if I need to keep company to my grandchildren as their parents go grocery shopping at the Cherrybrook shopping centre. Its always a new experience in entertainment and learning. And a Joy!!
