5 /5 Ernie Shepherd: To save on the park entry fee, I parked outside the national park, which worked out perfectly. I tackled the loop in an anti-clockwise direction, and I have to say, it was the best decision!
The most picturesque part of the walk runs along the river, with stunning views of Cowan Creek. The combination of gorgeous trees and natural shade made it an absolute treat. I took a 30-minute break at Bobbin Head to sip some water and use the facilities, which was a great midway point.
The return leg was much simpler—a straight path with not much scenery—but it made for an easy way to finish the walk. Overall, the track was relatively easy, and the whole experience, including the break, took me just under three hours.
If you’re looking for a walk that’s accessible and not too challenging, with some truly stunning views along the way, this one’s worth checking out!
