KnowOne !! The sand dunes are a must-visit spot, tucked away in the more hidden area at the back of the beach. Getting there can be a bit challenging and tiring—the trail involves going downhill, climbing uphill, and walking on soft sand that easily fills your shoes. The path is quite narrow, with bushes encroaching from both sides, so staying alert is essential. Be mindful of wildlife, especially snakes; I encountered a red-bellied snake on my way.
For this trek, I highly recommend carrying essentials like a water bottle, a hat, and sunglasses, particularly on hot days. If you start from the beach and walk all the way to where the trail ends at Captain Cook Drive, the total distance is about 5 km—so plan your trip accordingly.
