Shai N You can take the train to footscray and then 406 bus to reach the spot.
The trail is really long and nice with all the trees and the reserve. Today was the perfect weather to enjoy the breeze and sweat it out.
There are benches to take a pause from the walk to appreciate the nature around you.
However, beware of the snakes. I did encounter one and have added the video here.

John Locke A reserve with facilities which allow kids, friends and families to have BBQ, picnic, read, sunbathe, walk your dogs, go fishing, swim (if you dare), jog, cycle, enjoy the nature and exercise. Remember to bring sunscreen or blankets. The public toilet is not good for washing the dining utensils.
If you want to play volleyball, badminton baseball, football or do other group sports, you should choose an area away from the trail and the river (better with trees or woods as barriers) and watch out for the bikers and pedestrians. Some trails are not very good for riding the bikes.
There are many animals, including bees, butterflies, flies, ducks, geese, water birds, snakes (they don’t bite you but flee), jellyfish and fish. Some birds look like hens and chickens on the other side of the river. I love watching the ducks and geese swim, dive, feed on the water plants and catch fish. So, apply insect repellent.
The winds in the corridor under the shadows are cold but the sunlight warms me.

Linden Jesensek Memories of taking our young teen EDFL players to this ground back in the 2000s. Now to see the park in really good condition, with well maintained trails and open space for picnics, childrens playground, new trees and plants.
