Redmond Jenter I have been a client at Koh St Kilda for about two years. I have been styled by Shannon, Leah and Clodagh and I have to say, they are incredibly talented and professional stylists. They really understand what I want and what suits my hair/face. The salon is a beautiful, welcoming space and I really enjoy being able to sit back, relax and chat with the stylists. Highly recommend this salon!!

SJC Ive been going to Koh for a few years and moved with them to their glam new studio on St Kilda Road. I had really trouble getting the right cool dark brown colour until I found Tia. Im so happy with it now, doesnt fade to that orangey tone between visits. Cuts are the best Ive had in years and everyone is friendly and helpful. Its an easy spot to park and right nearby other places I need to go like Aldi and Petbarn so can run other errands too.

Sophie Foenander All the staff are super friendly and fun! Always making you feel like a part of the family and their expertise is unmatched. Beautiful looking salon with even more beautiful staff ! Can’t wait to get my wedding hair done here ! *UPDATE* I could NEVER thank all the girls at Koh St Kilda enough for my special day. Not only did they do the most amazing job, they settled us into the salon and allowed us to get ready completely there and we had the most beautiful morning. I truly do not know how I could ever repay them for their kindness. I am in complete awe of what they have done for me.

emilee cavanagh I’ve been visiting Koh for about two years and would never go back ! The salon is absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is next to none ! All the girl in their work as an amazing team and are all so lovely, they create a beautiful environment you want to keep coming back to! Kelly Walsh I made it my mission while visiting Melbourne to get into Koh salons for a wash and blow dry from the lovely and very talented Shannon Donovan who was my hairdresser in Ireland for many years. She always had me feeling like a million dollars leaving the salon even with a simple blow dry. The salon in St Kilda is fabulous, looks like something you’d see in Beverly Hills but without breaking the bank! All the girls who were there the day I was in, are all very lovely and so welcoming.

Maya Loaiza This was my first time Getting such an extreme colour change and it couldnt have gone better. Willis really knows his stuff and took so much care to make sure minimal damage was inflicted on my hair through out by using amazing products. No breakage at all and my hair still feels soft and healthy. The whole process was super chilled and he gave me lots of advice for the aftercare process too. I feel really confident putting my hair in his hands and I will definitely be back.

Sarah-Jane Furlong Favorite salon in the world! The hairdressers here are so talented and have wonderful personalities to match. Those ladies knows what they are doing when it comes to hair. Theyre amazing girls inside and out. Its always a truly great experience all around. After being to so many salons for my full head of blonde foils and blow waves, its such a relief to find hairdressers I can completely trust! I also come here every few weeks for my shellac refill where they use CND (ACTUAL SHELLAC!) and my nails have never been in the condition they are in now, long and strong! As for makeup, Laurie is magic! Ive been twice for a full face and both looks have been completely different. For the Melbourne Cup I had a more natural look and for an event I had more of a full face. Both times Ive received multiple compliments! I highly recommend!

shannon gordon I came to Laurie to get a full head of extensions put in, a toner and to get them styled. Laurie and her lovely worker were AMAZING. They stayed open long past there opening time just to look out for me and my hair. We had a small issue (my fault due to hair product I had been using) which caused my hair to go a tiny bit orange and Laurie did not settle for it. No matter how much I said it was okay she would not settle for anything less than perfect. This salon is AMAZING! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. I promise, you will not leave disappointed.

Madeline Walker $103 for Shellac Pedicure and SNS on fingers which I think is a bit steep. Massage chair on the fritz, issues with colours matching their numbers/display meant I didn’t get my first choice for toes or fingers, and was talked out of getting tips as they weren’t going to be long even though that’s what I asked for. Finished product does look nice but for the issues issues leading up to it and for the cost I won’t be going back I’m afraid.

Gill Perkins I decided to return as a previous client of Nails Rush, now that it is under New Management, and was so pleased I did. Rachel was so friendly and professional. She waxed my eyebrows and took time to tint them to a nice depth of colour. I also had the SNS removed from my finger nails and a new colour reapplied. She helped me choose a colour and was happy and cheerful throughout my treatments. I will definitely return and highly recommend Rachel. I am sure all her staff will be as professional and friendly. John Boyd There is just not enough time or space to fully evaluate the goodness that is Acland Street Village. The place is simply stunning with all varieties of food and drink at your asking. St Kilda has a vibe all of its own - great atmosphere, great food, plenty to drink and the beach is just a 2 minute stroll away. Oh, and dont forget Luna Park. Not only are there a host of first class restaurants, there are some handy takeaway options too. Where would we be without the Golden Arches? As a full-on Beatles fan, having a drink at Abbey Road fills the heart and soul with so much joy. You simply must visit. And for those with a sweet tooth, there is a large offering of superb delicatessens serving up a mouthwatering array of locally made sweet treats. The cheesecakes are something to behold! My weakness is gelati ice cream (is that right?) and you have about 5 shops to choose from. My favourite is 7 Apples and their lemon sorbet really sucks your cheeks in - absolutely magnificent. I truly could go on for hours, but the best thing is, if your havent been there before, get your skates on and head down to Acland Street Village - you will not be disappointed, trust me.

G V Acland Street Village is a fantastic place to visit! Its spacious and has a vibrant atmosphere that’s perfect for a day out. I recently visited for the Cars Show Melbourne on Fathers Day, and it was an amazing experience. The event was well-organized, and there was plenty of room to comfortably enjoy the show without feeling crowded. The street itself is lined with great shops and cafes, making it a wonderful spot to explore both during and after the event. I highly recommend Acland Street Village for anyone looking for a lively and spacious destination in Melbourne!

h mac Possibly the worst nail salon I’ve ever experienced in Australia. Expensive. No skills. Terrible service. Ruined my nails, cut me, burnt me with the sander thing, lied and said they had the specific colour I wanted to get my Business and messed up my night. Left half way through a manicure because I was in pain and they charged me anyway. The one nails? The one to not go to that’s for sure.

Nanz Panz I don’t know if this is the place or PT nails, but it’s the one by the entrance of Wollies in Acland St. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER! The place I like was fully booked so this is the closest one from it available as I was in a hurry. Should’ve checked the review so that’s my bad. If I could give this 0 star I would. I had acrylic refill done and I’ve told her I like my nails thick as my nails tend to snap. But the lady was clearly not experienced. Firstly some of my nails are thing and some are super thick. She did bad job at applying it too that went everywhere in my cuticles and skin, so when she had to buff it out she cut me. Lastly and the worst part, there’s air bubbles underneath the coloured gel. Not even cheaper too! I asked how long it’ll take (as I know some experts are quicker then the rest) I ended up being late for my next appointment as she took 1/2 hour longer than she said. Should’ve done what the lady next to me did, she walked away 1/4 done saying she’s going else where to get it fixed.

K Hall I came in for a last minute walk in appointment for a fresh set of SNS nails as my usual place was booked out. The ladies were friendly however I could see from the start that the service was poor. The SNS soak off process was no longer than a few minutes as they did not wait for the acetone to soak in and went hard on the drill instead. I had to ask her a few times to stop as the drill was burning my fingers. The shaping of the nails were poor and when it came time to applying the SNS I could see that it didn’t look correct as the powder was clumping and leaving lines. However, I thought at the end she would be able to buff and smooth it back down again. She was about to apply top coat of clear when I stopped to ask if she can smoothen the ridges. At this point she said no but if I want I can come back tomorrow for a fresh set. I was baffled! I just spent over an hour for poor service and she knew that it was applied incorrectly however was willing to let me walk out if I didn’t say anything. I declined the offer to come back and have them redone the next day - what a waste of time. I recommend going to a different place with more professionalism and better technique.

Katie Wright I literally got my nails done two days ago (sns), they chipped the next day. I have never had my sns chip or start lifting until 3 weeks after I have had them done. Not only is it the worst job I have had done, I also sat in that salon for 2 hours for bad quality nails. I have tried to call the number listed, says it’s disconnected so I can’t even speak to someone about my nails and getting a refund. I am returning Interstate so wouldn’t be able to come in store again to get them fixed. I honestly wouldn’t anyway, was torturous enough sitting there once. Also the eftpos machine wasn’t working so I had to transfer money to a bank account which I found slightly dodgy. Anyway long story short, if you want nails that will chip and have cracks in them the next day and to waste about 2 hours of your time then by all means go here. Otherwise find somewhere better, I’m sure just about anywhere would be far better.

Francesca Vitelli I’m very sorry there isn’t a 0 star because this is what they deserve. The worst manicure ever. Sorry I can’t even say manicure because I actually haven’t had any cuticles remove and the shellac was applied starting from the middle of the nail…event though I asked many times to go closer. The quality of the polish I don’t event want to comment

Wendi Gillies Worst manicure and pedicure Ive ever had. My finger nails are different lengths, uneven nail polish and chipping already and I only had them done yesterday. Im about to remove the polish as it looks so bad. I wont even go into the pedicure, I need to go somewhere else to get a real pedicure! (and manicure) The girls were not interested in talking to me so I felt rather uncomfortable whilst I waited for the polish to dry. Shame as it was a thoughtful gift from my niece. I wouldnt suggest this salon to anyone, ever!

Silins Madeline “Maddie” Just walked past and got some shellac, no mani just colour $25 and the staff are lovely! Best colour and finish, easy to talk to and help me decide on colour. Also dog friendly so pooch got to hang out with us which was nice on our walk.

Lisa McCall Terrible!!! 1 star is too much - dont go here. The positive reviews cant be real, honestly, dont waste your money and time on this place. Got SNS manicure (request for gel nails was ignored...), my nails started chipping after 3 days. 1 week later and 8 nails are chipped and 2 have bubbles ready to chip... Salon is not very clean, no soap to wash your hands. My nails were finished/final few coats by someone who had no idea what they were doing and probably the reason why the terrible result!

Adelina Selmani Terrible job, got ripped off and a complete waste of time! Service 1x broken acrylic nail and colour with minor French tip designs 1. Over charged massively - Charged $65 to fix one nail and do colour with minor design on the rest (got told colour would be $25) how does 1x broken nail cost $40? 2. Waste of time- Walked in when they opened first customer got told 20mins , two new customers walked in they left me and started working on them, came back did 2 more nails more customers walked in they stopped again and started working on them…. At this point 1hour has gone past already eventually leaving to 1.5hours all up (again for 1 broken nail and colour with minor French lines) 3. Terrible job - especially what I got charged for the French lines are uneven the sides blobby I addressed this with them and got told “Look up on your hand not sides” so it’s less noticeable… I could not believe what I was hearing… overcharged left to deal with a terrible nail job I have to look at on a daily Simply do not go there and waste your time or money

Lisa Robb I went to this salon a few months ago and had to return twice within 5 days to get nails repaired. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned on the weekend to have the same experience. I asked for SNS with coffin shape, the lady said that it is ugly and my nails are too short (despite having them this way for years). All of my fingers are different lengths and two nails are lifting and it’s been 5 days. DO NOT GO HERE if you want quality, variety and good customer service- you are wasting your time pand money.
