Nancy Li I had my Fastbraces done with Terry in 2019 and 5 years on my teeth alignment are not bad. The team at this clinic are very detailed, hence why I have introduced my family to this clinic for their dental check ups etc and also friends for Fastbraces. The reason why I am posting this 1 star review years later (I don’t usually leave reviews, this is my second ever Google review) is due to the complications I have with my gums. After a painful 6-7 months of braces, I finally had a nice smile, to which Terry recommended composite bonding to 3 of my front teeth to lengthen the teeth and achieve an even nicer smile. Prior to braces, I’ve been to this clinic for dental check ups so I had about 1 years relationship with the team and trusted everyone. The bonding was beautiful - except one didn’t seem to have a smooth finish and has had staining about a few months in, to which I have advised Shaun to help smooth it down, but still not as smooth as the other two teeth. After all this, the lady at reception (I don’t remember her name, but she’s a Korean lady and Terry’s girlfriend) recommended a whitening gel since by teeth were quite yellow after braces. She had advised that “it will hurt but keep it on for as long as you can”. No one had advised me of the potential dangers of using this gel, which I later found out is basically bleach. There were no written instructions given to me with the gel either, so as I had trusted everyone at this clinic, I listened to their advice. This caused chemical burns (holes) to the gums of my top/front teeth, in between 6 teeth - I now have 5 black triangles there. I called up and went back the next day to see 2 or 3 different dentists and all were giving me to what I felt at the time, “excuses” - either they as dentists have left it on overnight and not caused the same issue, or told me that I have a family history of gum regression etc. I did not have any gum recession at these locations prior to the burn. No one acknowledged the issue or provided a solution or potential solutions that I could choose from (as I have now done my research and there are a few ways to help reduce the appearance of black triangles). It was just a “you have to deal with this” kind of attitude and use lots of salt water rinses. That was it. I have had complications since with my gums and they are always sensitive and painful. I cannot eat spicy or strong flavoured food, and the holes only get bigger even though I brush and floss very diligently every night. My smile is no longer nice and I’m always conscious about it. Should anyone in a dental clinic, regardless of qualifications be recommending products, especially a bleach with dangers? As I mentioned, I’m not questioning the skills of this dental clinic, otherwise I would not have referred anyone, but more the responsibility and attitude after my services were complete and an issue arose.

Amy Bourke I got a full set of the Picasso porcelain veneers. I found the whole process from start to finish to be very easy and stress free. Everything was included in the price so we werent haggling over each filling and Xray, and the team was so accommodating with fitting us in around our busy schedule when we made the drive from Albury each time. I also found the team handled dental phobia really well. I was extremely nervous (having only been to the dentist for the first time three years ago due to dental phobia), and I cannot believe I managed to get a full set of veneers. The team were very understanding and patient. I also liked that they make the teeth on site, so we could make changes on the day rather than having to send them away each time. The teeth themselves look incredible, and my confidence has completely changed. Smiling all the time (rather than avoiding smiling) has a HUGE effect on your mood and the way you interact with others. Thanks to Carrie for always making the schedule work for us, and Dee and the dental team for your beautiful work.

Susan Ung I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Alan and his team. I remember arriving for my first appointment, terrified and upset for letting myself get to the stage of seeing a periodontist. Dr Alan listened and took the time to speak with me. He showed such compassion and instantly made me feel so much better. Dr Alan is an absolute delight to deal with. He makes every effort to connect with his patients so that they feel as comfortable as possible. He happily takes the time to answer questions and explains them very well. Not only is he great at what he does but he offers education, tips and genuinely cares for his patients. The reception are all fantastic and highly professional and attentive. Gavin Brooks If anyone is looking for a dentist who is good with kids my seven year old saw Dr Samantha at Blackburn Family Dental Care and she was amazing. My daughter had her teeth cleaned and her mouth x-rayed and Dr Samantha couldnt have done any more to make her feel at ease. Clover Wang Highly recommend Dr. Andrew! I never thought visiting the dentist could be so easy and painless. Dr. Andrew is the most meticulous, responsible, kind, and gentle dentist I’ve ever met. Initially, I couldn’t get an appointment with him and had to see another dentist for a filling, my teeth were sensitive and it hurt for two weeks after. I had to return to Dr. Andrew. He patiently redid the fillings on both my upper and lower teeth in two sessions, asked his assistant to follow up with me via phone to check if I was still in pain, and even fixed three more cavities on the other side. Today, I had a cleaning, and it was completely pain-free and very comfortable. The assistant was also incredibly attentive, helping with the cleaning throughout the process. The overall experience was fantastic—though I feel bad that Dr. Andrew’s wrist was sore from all the work. He definitely deserves a five-star review! I’m truly grateful!

Although I experienced some sensitivity after the initial fitting, the crown felt completely natural after just two weeks. RP I went there for the first time for a regular cleaning but even though I had HBF insurance , I had to still fork out $150. Never needed to pay out of pocket in other dental clinics. They won’t tell you over the phone out much and just said it would vary depending on insurer and left it vague before the appointment. Don’t think I would go back and pay extra on top of private insurance.

Daniel Congdon Went to Hearts for a second opinion. Really thorough checks for the cause of tootchache. Doctor Sue practically dug through to the centre of the earth to find the cause of toothache and gum issues another dentist couldn’t explain and wanted to root canal.

George Konstandopoulos I’ve been seeing the ladies at Whitehorse Dental for about 4 years now. I saw Dr. Melissa and from the very start she was super friendly, professional and accommodating, always going the extra mile to ensure everything was looked after. I’ve also had many appointments with Dr. Linda who is just as amazing, both doctors will make sure that you leave with 100% confidence in your smile. Kamin Ganji I had a wisdom tooth extraction by Dr.Kerry and it ended up to an infection and surgery at hospital which caused two weeks of pain and illness. I would have expected better aftercare despite calling and visiting the centre three times after my extraction due to severe pain and swelling. My GP was impressed when I visited her and sh prescribed Antibiotics straight away. Dr Kerry was only available once a week. I also should thank Dr.Annie for her support.

Amer Molavi I recently got a dental check, clean and X-ray here. I was disappointed with the service received for the cost ($280). It was a very brief appointment and it seemed they only checked the front teeth and ignored the molars. When I got home I noticed my teeth were the same as before, despite cleaning. After taking my X-ray, the staff did not tell me what came up. I was told I would receive an email of the X-ray results but still haven’t received anything after more than a month.
