Very communicative and suggestive in a non-pressuring way. I can truly relax when I go for my haircut because I know I’m in good hands! Honestly a godsend for those who may be anxious getting haircuts.

Alyson H I’ve had a few cuts at Sister Margaret’s and was happy with the outcome - very friendly and super affordable! However, my most recent cut ended badly. I requested a trim and a curtain fringe (and showed photos). I was getting a fresh cut before heading overseas for a few weeks. I came out with an uneven full on fringe that wasn’t even cut straight. It was awful. I made it clear it wasn’t right and referred back to the photos but to no avail. I was told that it would be the right length when I returned from my trip - not what I wanted to hear. I’ve now had to go (and pay) for a fringe trim in an attempt to have it fixed and the hairdresser noted that neither side was even and one side had been butchered. They did the best they could but admitted that it will take time to grow into the fringe that I requested. Very disappointing and upsetting.

Kelli W Theres pros and cons to this review. The pro is... Sister Margaret gets well deserved praise for keeping my hair looking razzle dazzle, A-MAY-ZING. The con is, everyone is going to book up the appointment calendar to visit this wonderful, down to earth crew who want you to step out feeling fabulous! Melissa Green First time going to Sister Margarets on Monday just gone. Cara cut my hair and gave me a great curly hair cut. I really appreciated the banter between the staff and the collaboration discussing another clients hair colour and each valuing each others opinions. Seems like a lovely, safe and collaborative space that I will definitely be booking in here again. Thanks so much for the cut, Cara - its actually ace!

C Bower Natalia is a great hairdresser, she is knowledgeable, honest and makes you feel comfortable. I was really happy with the quality of my haircut. I was looking for a hairdresser that had fair pricing and there are very few places like Sister Margarets that will you give such a great experience for this price ($68 for long hair restyle). I also really like that its a barber shop vibe that is open to all genders and that pricing is based on time in the chair rather than on if you choose a "mens" or "womans" cut. Ill be back soon!

Darcey Atherton My favourite local pilates studio, the light in the studio and easy access to classes through their app is great. I loveee Taylah and Elzas Your Daily Movement classes - theyre consistent and accessible - clearly well thought out for their target audience!!! Also going to miss Maitland, she was a great trainer and had great energy, would love to see her back in the studio one day.

Kathryn Love this studio! Taylor has always been a favourite from the Braybrook studio and now have a new love with Charlize’s classes. They are so strong and always push you. Incredible workout! I leave feeling proud of myself.

Rachel Hulse I have been coming to Matt and his team for years and have only ever had exceptional experiences. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. We’ve been through so many colours and styles together and every time they manage to pull it off whilst still maintaining the health and integrity of my hair. Matt always works with me on what we can achieve for my hair in terms of colour whilst still keeping it long, which is a real challenge for someone with naturally super dark hair who loves a regular change. Matt is so inspired, so dedicated to his craft and always pushing and learning. He’s also constantly upskilling his awesome team so I know any of them have the support and know-how to give me the hair of my dreams. The salon itself is such a cool vibe and a safe space where everyone is just lovely. Matt also did my wedding party hair for my wedding this year. The planning and lead up was exceptional, getting my colour and hair health perfect over the course of several months. He came to me with inspiration boards for my wedding day style as well as my bridesmaids, worked with all of us to tailor to what we each wanted and just did the most epic job. The hair vibes on the day were simply immaculate.

Paige Roy This was my first time visiting The Factory and I had Tatum do my hair. She did an amazing job, we had a quick chat for her to understand what I wanted and she nailed it. I’m obsessed with the cut & colour and have had so many compliments on it!!

Daisy Lyons I just wanted to give a massive shout out to Shannon. Not only did she give me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had but passion for her craft was inspiring. Shannon took the time to listen to what I wanted and executed the cut perfectly. I’m absolutely obsessed with my bob and will definitely be coming back. Just as an FYI, I’ve had fully qualified hairdressers at very well known salons struggle to achieve what Shannon did today and it just shows how passionate she is. They made me platinum blonde while I had coffee and bubbles. I’d sincerely like to thank the entire team for doing such a great job but also for the warm welcome. Highly recommended!

Katie Lesser Wow wow wow! I got my hair done by Cathy today and I’m speechless! I walked in with dead, sad heavy hair that looked depressed and I came out looking fresh, shinny, and full of life again! She did an entire restyle on me with layers, volume and put all the health back into my hair! She did an incredible job and I’m notoriously picky when it comes to finding someone I actually trust to do my hair! I’m locked in and couldn’t imagine going else where! Thankyou, I could not recommend her enough! But also everyone in the salon was great vibes, friendly and new how to keep things going!

Shaz Shaz Marie was a lovely stylist, and she actually brought to life the style and colour I had in mind. Although I was a little perturbed by the fact that she had added a few hair products assuming I wanted them while telling me about them while doing my hair. It felt a little pressuring when I had to pay at the end. It seems like a tactic they use for new clients as I notice that others didnt have products added when paying.

Nhat Ton Best massage in the area. I felt great every time paying a visit here. Rooms are calm & clean, nicely decorated, massage beds are large & comfy. Reasonable price for good massage. Therapists are all experienced with good techniques, they practice Thai style in general but also understand of body anatomy and give right amount of pressure as requested. Today I had Mook for 90min oil relaxation massage, I felt thoroughly relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend Mook as well as Koh Thai to everyone.

Michael Tokarev If I asked for a massage in the west - I will reccomend Koh Thai without a hesitation! Before visiting them I had annoying shoulder pain for almost a year. Tried quite a few places (phisio, chiro, osteo) but only had relief for a few days/a week. These guys helped me on the first visit! Like they can see what was wrong. And after three months into - getting better and better every day. Thank you sooo much!

Maria Diana Syrakis Booked a mid week special the day before wanting to come in. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Experience was delightful. Definitely a place to book, I wouldn’t walk in. Parking can be tricky around Yarraville but there are 2 hr and untimed spots if you know where to look.

I decided to book with her and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. She focused on the areas where I needed the most attention—my back, shoulders, and feet—and the way she massaged my shoulders was pure bliss. It felt as though all the tension simply melted away. The facial was equally relaxing, and the incorporation of stones added a thoughtful and soothing touch to the experience. Ebony Papak I’ve been fortunate enough to have multiple massages over the years at Yarraville Massage. I’ve tried all of their treatments; whether it be hot stone, deep tissue, or couples massage (just to name a few); you can expect consistency each time. Every therapist is well mannered, takes your privacy seriously, and they’re incredibly professional. If you ask for your massage to be firmer or softer, they truly listen without judgement. The venue is a nice and secluded second level building with historic charm. You can ask for the heater or air con to be on or off etc. It really is all about the client here. From making a booking to having your massage and then leaving, you feel comfortable and of course, relaxed! Don’t think twice when walking by. Do yourself a favour. It’s honestly brilliant!

I should have left a glowing review much earlier but had to write one after my visit to the salon today. I bought my very unsettled 1.5 year old baby with me to my appointment and the staff were just amazing. I would not have been an easy client but all the staff were so kind and understanding. I was also once again very happy with my hair. This place is so good!
