Kara Mandel Kim does wonderful work. Price for the shellac manicures is great and kim pays great attention to detail. 10 days later, they even repaired and retouched my nails for free after I cracked them working on my bike.

Sitabkhan Fatema (Tema) I’ve been going to Prestige since May 2024 and have always had a pleasant experience. The nail techs know their stuff, are open to trying new designs, provide honest feedback if they can/can’t do a particular design and their work speaks for itself - it is really well done and lasts about 4-5 weeks. However their communication needs a bit of work.
For context, I had an appointment at 1030am and the nail tech I had booked with was running late. To accommodate, another nail tech started the process of filing off my nails and making it ready for refill. After about 10 mins of this, I was waiting about 20 mins with the nail tech still not at the establishment. There was no communication or heads up around how late she was going to be. She then arrived and attended to others and did a bit of housekeeping before attending to me - this was 35-40 minutes in. I struggle when there is no communication or timeline to expect when the job will get actioned. I politely asked her if she could give me a heads up next time if she was running late and there was no acknowledgement / apology for this. She then proceeded to rush through the nails, messing up one of the designs. I didn’t pick this up as I was quite flustered by this experience and the cold shoulder until the top coat was about to be put on. She finished the design, got up, and started attending to someone else and got another technician to finish up with the top coat. I alerted the new nail tech to the design needing a fix and this was followed by her complaining about me to her colleague in their language (her colleague looked at me and my nails). The nails look great but the customer service can be better. I left feeling unwelcome and a bother for asking for a design to be fixed and to make a small accommodation by giving me a heads up for running late.
EDIT since it won’t let me reply: I texted you at 10.47am asking how far you were. You weren’t at the establishment till about 11am. Me turning up early did not result in me asking to be seen early, I was happy to wait till the scheduled time. I come in 3-4 weeks due to my nails growing out. My design was not messed up by me putting it into the lamp, it was your error. You were not communicating at all and rushed through the process. It is quite transparent when you talk about someone you’re serving in your language. You have missed the point of this review - which is to communicate better and accommodate if your customer has asked for a request of being given a heads up if you’re late. Me having something later on is irrelevant - it is the lack of communication and apology demonstrated upon turning up late to the appointment that you rescheduled and booked.

Elaine Chambers Cheap, but you get what you pay for.
My nails are pretty much ruined and actually hurt in places.
EDIT: 6 days later and one of my nails has an actual crack in it 2-3mm into the nail bed, and Ive been trying to be so so careful. They have severely damaged my nails.
Never again.
Do not see Tina. Ive seen multiple customers treated rudely and roughly by her (when I got my sns done in the first place) and now have had the displeasure myself.
I booked to have sns nails removed.
Was given just a bowl of warm acetone to put my nails in, no foil wraps, nothing, just fingers in a bowl of acetone. The smell was horrible and because of the round bowl I had to curl my hands into claws to even try to keep my nails in the acetone, but it got all over my fingers and hands, drying them out and after a while it started to burn.
Finally she took one hand and very lightly swiped at it with a napkin. Not much came off, and Im not surprised since she did it so lightly.
Then the drill came out... and all of a sudden she was gung ho! Wouldnt wipe properly, but was happy to gouge into those nails with a super rough drill bit! At one point she was pressing so hard into the nail it got so hot it burned! Hurt like a mf!
I asked her to be careful because I have thin and brittle nails. She said "no no is just the powder is ok" and just kept going.
Every time she put my fingers back in the bowl of acetone it burned the edges of my nails where she nicked skin.
She asked if Id like to get a manicure as well, I said no thank you. I didnt trust her not to do more damage!
Now my nails are rough, scraped and peeling. At the end because I mentioned that the ends had been torn by the drill, so she asked if I wanted them cut, I said yes and she used nail clippers and an incredibly coarse emery board to take off a good 3mm of length.
Never again.
