Peter H I started at FitLab - CrossFit 3000 at the start of 2024.
I hadnt been to a gym in decades, literally. Not since the early 1960s, in fact. But, after reassessing my health following a near death experience in 2009, and after prompting from my GP, I finally decided it was time to act.
I approached the joining with a sense of trepidation, expecting i wouldnt last the distance and also somewhat cynical that a gym could be of any benefit to someone in their late 70s.
Happily, my doubts have been erased.
The results have been amazing.
Of course, Im not the best in the gym -- more down at the bottom of that particular ladder.
But, thanks to the guidance and instruction of the coaching team, particularly Toby and Carolina, my fitness level has increased enormously.
They have been patient with me - but also demanding.
They have set tasks and goals that allow for my individual constraints such as a dodgy heart and some breathing issues.
At the same time, they encourage me to do better, and to meet the challenges they set for me
I would encourage everyone reading this to reach out to Steve and give it a go.
You will feel better.
You will be better.
