5 /5 JP: Pilates Bodyworks is a sanctuary! With so many workout places to choose from in South Yarra, Pilates Bodyworks offers an uncomplicated, comfortable and safe haven for those who are interested in starting and/or those who are already in love with Pilates. There are so many reasons why Pilates Bodyworks works perfectly for me:
Location: Firstly, the location of Pilates Bodyworks studio cannot be more conveniently located as it is only a short 2-minute walk from the South Yarra station. For those who live/work in South Yarra, this means that you get to enjoy the benefits of having the convenience of going regularly.
Studio: The boutique style of the studio allows for intimate yet well-distanced workout zones for clients. This setup allows for a more personalised approach while also ensuring clients’ safety. There is also an abundance of natural light in the studio which incites alertness and focus (for me).
Sessions: A maximum of 4 people are welcomed per session. Each client is invited to a designated spot at the start. In each session, clients get to enjoy Pilates exercises that are customised individually by the trainer. Aside from reformer and mat exercises, clients also get to use a range of Pilates equipment such as the Cadillac, Wunda chair, ladder barrel and springboard. I find the provision of varied exercises and equipment advantageous as not only does it reduce boredom but also ensures that you get to focus on other muscle groups.
Trainers: The trainers are extremely knowledgeable. They are able to tailor workouts according to clients’ abilities while offering a sufficient number of challenges. Pilates Bodyworks delivers high quality personalised coaching/instruction along with healthy doses of genuine encouragement.
Overall, I could honestly not be more satisfied with Pilates Bodyworks! I have been with them since 2020 and started as a beginner with no Pilates experience at all. Along this 4-year journey, I have noticed a reduction in my tendency to favour one side of the body over the other as well as a significant improvement in my posture. Over the years, I have also observed a continuous increase in the strength of my core muscles. My progress is a testament to the team’s commitment to providing high quality and thoughtfully tailored Pilates workouts to clients.
