Allison Haigh Is there an option to leave no stars? Giving one would be far too generous, and after reading all the other negative reviews about the poor customer service from this place, I feel compelled to share the experience I just had with this business.
Jewellery International is one of the stores at our local shops, as my partner and I are both gold enthusiasts and have a substantial collection between the two of us, we often look in the windows out of curiosity to see if there is anything we would like.
Today we spotted a ring that I was very interested in, however I have very small fingers so wasnt sure of sizing and if it would need to be re-sized to fit me. We entered the store, where a woman just stood staring at us (we are both heavily tattooed so are used to stares) she didnt offer to help us in any way nor did she even greet us which immediately put me off as anyone with half a brain knows its customer service 101.
My partner asked to see the ring, and then mentioned that we were unsure of sizing etc and asked if we could please have some help.
She looked at us with so much contempt like we were seriously inconveniencing her by asking her to do her job, and then flatly says "we charge $15 to size you, if the ring fits then you buy the ring". We were both a bit taken aback by her lacklustre attitude in general, especially since we were prepared to spend money in a desolate shop. We were happy to pay the $15 to get sized as we understand every shop has their right to charge as they see fit, so we agreed, and said well just show you the ring we are referring to which was in the outside window.
I assumed she would follow us, only to discover that not only had she not followed us, she had disappeared out the back again not giving us a second thought. We stood there like idiots waiting for her to come back, to which she didnt so we left.
I would never consider shopping here, how they are still open with such appalling service, which clearly this wasnt an isolated incident judging by the other reviews saying the same thing, is beyond me.

Sandy Keena To the person who wrote the previous review yesterday. It always helps not to be RUDE to the person who is serving you. My mother and I have been shopping at Jewellery International for over 28 years and always found them to be very helpful & nice. Please be mindful about how you upset people with your senseless reviews and how upset you make them feel after you have left the shop!
