1 /5 Julia: I wasnāt going to leave this review, but after the horrible experience Iāve had I felt that I needed to share it so I can warn others.
I went into ASC Broadmeadows this week for a skin consultation and for my first skin needling session. I had been looking forward to getting skin needling done for a really long time so I was super excited.
I started my consultation with one of the clinicians, who asked me if I had prepped my skin before my appointment with a vitamin C or a skin brightening serum⦠I said no because I thoroughly read everything on their website and on the skin preparation terms and conditions before finalising my booking and prepping my skin with one of these products was not noted anywhere.
After my face was scanned, I was told that I would still be able to be treated today without the skin prep because I had fair skin I was then told that in order to do the next three sessions of skin needling that I had booked I needed to buy the āultimate serumā that they sold in store. I asked why that is because again itās not noted anywhere on their website that I would need to buy a $120 serum after just spending almost $600 on a service.
The lady told me that I need to use this serum and they recommend it for best results.
I specifically asked if I NEEDED to buy this in order to be treated of if it was simply a recommendation for better results? After much back-and-forth about this, I probably asked about 5 more times, I was told that I needed to purchase this serum otherwise I couldnāt get the skin needling done at this clinic. This was also while she was looking at her watch while speaking to me like I was taking up her time..
I then asked if I was still going to be treated today and the lady said because my consultation has taken longer (due to me being confused and questioning her about needing to buy a serum just to receive a service???) That I wouldnāt be able to get my treatment today. I said I didnāt see how this is fair due to them keeping me waiting for almost 15 minutes over my appointment start time when I first arrived. She said she would go and speak to her manager in that case.
I can then hear her speaking to her manager rudely about me from down the hall so I decided I didnāt feel comfortable getting an invasive treatment at this clinic and didnāt want to spend my money here if this was going to be the service that I am receiving so I asked for a refund.
When the manager phoned me the next day to discuss the matter, she told me that you DONT need to buy the serum in order to get treated so I was being lied to the entire time and thankfully listened to my gut!
Like this experience, couldnāt get any worse, but not only did I not get refunded, but my card was charged again another $580 dollars.
So I am now waiting for over $1100 to be refunded back to me and was told by the manager in a sarcastic tone when I called to follow up on why I hadnāt received the money yet as itās been two days that thereās nothing else she can do as sheās already escalated the matter to her head office and she left them a voicemail and maybe I should call my own bank to see if thereās anything I can do on my end.
I needed this money for something else this week which I explained multiple times to the lady I spoke with but I received no empathy whatsoever.
Overall Iām honestly disgusted with how greedy this clinic is for lying to me and trying to push a product onto me when it wasnāt even needed and to now be the one who is having to pay the price while I wait for my refund is appalling.
