4 /5 Kelly: My first visit to MC Dental had both positives and negatives. The clinic’s location and environment are great, and the front desk staff provided excellent service—she was the highlight of our visit and deserves all the praise.
However, when it came to the dental treatment for my child, the experience was disappointing. The equipment for children’s dental X-rays was not very child-friendly. They used a simple X-ray film that was too large for my child’s mouth, making it difficult to close properly and causing significant discomfort. The first attempt at taking the X-ray was unsuccessful, and by the second attempt, the dentist and nurse seemed to lose patience. The entire process made my child feel anxious and awkward.
Additionally, the treatment plan recommended by the dentist seemed unnecessary. A simple filling and fissure sealant should have been sufficient, but I was advised that anesthesia and further extensive dental work, including metal crowns, were required. Following this recommendation would have turned a basic procedure into a $2000+ treatment plan.
I understand that our appointment was at 4 PM, close to the clinic’s closing time, and that the staff may have been tired after a long day. However, the lack of patience and warmth in their approach made our experience uncomfortable. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to return. I hope the clinic can improve its services in the future.
