Kim F I highly recommend Jesse from RAE Hair Studio. Jesse has been styling my curly, fine hair (colour, cut and blow wave) for about 5 years. I travel 30-40 mins each way to get it done regularly and I have no intentions of changing stylist, despite there being many closer to home. Jesse takes the time to really understand what you are aiming for and offers suggestions in terms of the look, tips and practical examples for you to style at home in line with your lifestyle and ability, cut, colour longevity and suitability for your colouring. Ive transitioned to a softer copper over the years under her guidance and have received numerous compliments regarding my hair, and the greatest compliment, amazement that it is coloured as it looks so flattering and natural! Laura Sullens Taya at Mantra Hair is absolutely the best! Ive had my family hairdresser (In Victoria) cutting my hair since I was a baby - so was used to having it cut & coloured a certain way. Im probably the most difficult client to please because of this. Vex i came here with my cousins for their haircuts. it is a very efficient establishment, they do the job quickly and well. the exterior is nice and welcoming and it is as about as tidy as a barber shop can be (the hairs on the floor are cleaned as soon as the job is done). aesthetically appealing on the outside and the inside. warm, mellow lights dont burn your eyes.

Holly Vaughan Im often asked for a good hairdressers on Northern Beaches and its been a struggle over last few years...until now. Ive only been twice to Spence and Co, but I do really like this salon, the team and the owner. The owner is lovely, and trains her team well to actually care for your hair when colouring as both times Ive left with my hair not only looking but feeling great! Its a very clean, pleasant to be space, they use great products and they take really nice care of you while youre there... oh and you dont need to get a second mortgage to pay for it ;)

Lachie Madden I’ve been to Grumpy’s Barbershop a few times now, and I’m always impressed. The team is super friendly and really takes their time to get your cut just right. The vibe of the shop is relaxed, but professional, and the barbers really know their stuff. I always leave feeling sharp and refreshed. Definitely my go-to spot for a solid, quality haircut every time!

Fiona Paterson Im not sure why my experience was utterly different to those leaving positive reviews, but for $220 (!!!) I received the absolute worst haircutI have ever had- it is like a dogs dinner - one side of the front has a one inch chunk out of it and the whole cut is uneven. (It was fine before it was cut, which I had said I didnt want!) The hairdresser changed my part to hide her mistakes, but they were glaringly obvious as soon as I combed it at home. The "highlights" are also completely random - some are just at the top, some just at the bottom, and my existing highlights were covered with a "caramel" colour, apparently, after the application of a very pungent "light bleach" to which I reacted. I also paid for a proper blow-dry, which I did not receive. The service was: *Hugely overpriced *Incompetent *Rushed *An awful, awful job, which I now need to get repaired by another hairdresser. I absolutely cannot recommend this hairdresser or salon and am at a loss to believe that the person delivering the service was in fact a trained hairdresser. I can upload photos if required, and am definitely owed a full refund, which I can send a local friend to collect, since I need to now go to another hairdresser, though my hair is already damaged and shortened (contrary to my wishes). Less than 0 stars.

Jane Forster Super friendly, professional hairdresser ! I have been going to Chippers to get cut and colour done for years and Kylie and Jamie are both highly experienced, enthusiastic hairdressers. Kylie is always willing to provide suggestions on improving colour or hairstyle. She genuinely cares for her clients. Both Kylie and Jamie are very tolerant of clients like me who are always running 5minutes late or maybe need to bring a child with them at short notice. Happy to recommend this hairdresser to everyone !

Amy Xie Patrick Hands down best hair colourist in Sydney. Kylie has transformed my black Asian hair into all sorts of amazing blondes and hair still in good condition after a year of scalp bleaches. Why waste time and money trying other hairdressers and risk walking around a “brassy” blonde when you can head straight to Chippers. Kylie and Jamie are a great dynamic duo. You’ll never go anywhere else.

Kylie has made great suggestions to update my style several times and I always trust her completely. They are fabulous with kids too and have given my daughter beautiful complementary braids if they have time after a haircut. Good value and a good laugh too.

Simon Townley Great local hairdresser, based by the entrance to Stockland shopping mall. I’ve had several good haircuts by a number of hairdressers and they have all been pleasant and personable. The only downside for me is you have to book in either using their app or in person, usually having to wait for a bit. You can’t make an advance appointment. Suits me as I’m local, but could be a bit annoying. Generally very happy with their service though.

Linda Hawk I have never been happier with a visit to a hair salon. I have spent years searching for a hairdresser who looks after the needs of my hair. In the past, other salons have cut my hair without care. I was wonderfully impressed with Shirleys attention to detail and the needs of a person. Shirley treated me as I felt leaving the salon, full of confidence. I can confidently say that Shirley can do my do my hairdo. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK
